i think the way to a woman´s heart is:
show you care by noticing little details about her,the things she likes.like if you notice she likes a certain thing like a type of chocolate,gum that kind of thing, surprise her by having of big bunch of it sent to her office or have it at your place and let her know it is specially for her...or take it over to her house...you get the idea.
be interested in asking about her day.ask about it.if she has a problem or a good thing happen,ask about it a few days later.this is not "pretending" to be interested.if you genuinely are it will not be an effort to do it.
try to go out with her and invite her best friend over once in a while too! weather it is male or female to do what they like to do together-BEFORE "YOU".you will get a peak at what they like and enjoy doing ...maybe it will be silly to you but it will show you a side of her she is really relaxed doing...maybe drinking silly girl drinks or watching girl movies and pigging out or if it is with a male friend maybe she went to "tougher" places to drink beer and pretzels with this guy.you will discover a different side of her.
