Honestly? no. Pedigree is a terrible brand of food. Full of nasty fillers, additives and grains. It also has a tiny amount of meat -- not suitable for a canine.
Instead, look into a high quality food that contains few grains and NO fillers/additives/colorants. A high quality food should always have a 'meat meal' (so 'lamb meat meal', 'chicken meat meal', etc) as the first ingredient. The ingredients on the dog food are listed by weight. If a meat meal is the first ingredient, meat is the largest ingredient in the food.
Dog food brands that I like: Innova, California Natural, Timberwolf Organics, Orjien, Merrick, Solid Gold, Natures Variety, Eagle Pack and Canidae. Choose one of these for your dog and you are well on your way to having a fit, healthy Beagle.

Pedigree is an awful food. The FIRST (and therefore most prevalent) ingredient is corn, which dogs CANNOT DIGEST, and there is virtually no meat in the food at all! You can't get any worse.
Please read this, it has all the info (they give it their lowest possible rating): http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showproduct.php?product=4&cat=all
Go to the store where you buy dog food, and LOOK at the labels. There should be NO CORN, and if there is corn, it should NOT be in the top three ingredients (but there really shouldn't be any corn at all). Some kind of MEAT should be the first and second ingredient, preferably chicken or lamb. It should at LEAST be the first ingredient.
When in doubt, ask your vet what should be in your dog's food or do your own research online. And for heaven's sake, spend some time at the store actually looking at labels. Don't take anyone's word for what is a good food and what is not until you educate yourself about the proper ingredients and look at the labels yourself!

NO...please don't buy into commercials...most times those company's put more money in their advertising than in there food.
Go to quality foods such as Wellness, Canidae, Eagle Pack, Natural Balance or Nutro.
Stay far away from stuff like Pedigree, Alpo, Cesar's, Beneful etc. and you will have less health problems, which means less vet bills...which becomes money saved in the long run.
Do a little research, read your labels and ask at your local pet food store, they will be happy to help you pick a good food that is better for your dog.

I definitely wouldn't feed it, as it was recalled in the Philippines.
http://www.worldvet.org/displayarticle1813.html
Royal canin is sold there, and it also looks like crap...
Pros: First ingredient is a named meat product.
Cons: Insufficient meat. Extensive use of cheap grains and other controversial fillers.
There's also something called "Pet One Dog Food", but I can't seem to find the ingredients or a review anywhere.
I think it would help a lot if you went to a pet store where you live and made a list and posted it, or if you educated yourself on what good things to look for are in pet food.
Good luck!

NO! its terrible...
Ground Whole Corn, Meat and Bone Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Chicken By-product Meal, Animal Fat (preserved with BHA/BHT), Natural Poultry Flavor, Wheat Flour, Chicken, Rice, Dried Whole Peas, Wheat Mill Run, Dried Beet Pulp, Wheat Gluten, Salt, Carrot Powder, Potassium Chloride, Vegetable Oil (Source of Linoleic Acid), Caramel Color, Vitamins (Choline Chloride, dl-Alpha Tocopherol Acetate [Source of Vitamin E], L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate [Source of Vitamin C*], Vitamin A Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate [Vitamin B1], Biotin, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin Supplement [Vitamin B2], Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement), Minerals (Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Potassium Iodide), Added FD&C and Lake Colors (Yellow 6, Blue 2, Red 40, Yellow 5).
Corn should never be in the food at all let alone #1 and #3 on the list!! the main protein source is meat and bone meal? would you eat a meat that you werent sure what animal it came from? ohhh look chicken by-product is 4th on the list, this means its necks and intestines and all other crap that is terrible for them. besides corn it has useless fillers in wheat flour, wheat mill run and beet pulp... the list goes on and on, i dont know how anyone feeds there dog this crap. go out and get canidae or innova... the bag may be higher priced but since it is so rich in the nutrients that dogs need you feed less and the same 20 lb bag will last longer

I wish people would read and educate themselves on what is good food before they offer an ignorant opinion. Pedigree is garbage and so is Purina and ALL brands you can buy in a grocery store because of the ingredients.
This link tells why Pedigree is crap. Please go to it and read it. Also if you click on 'home' you can see what your dog food is rated.

No. Pedigree is full of fillers! I would recommend brands such as Nutro, Natural Balance, and Avoderm. They are a little pricier, and only found in pet stores (i.e. Petco or PetSmart), but are much healthier and full of the nutrients your dog really needs. It will also improve your dog's teeth, skin, and coat.

It's one of the better ones of the low quality ones, but it is low quality. You would be better off with something like Wellness, Chicken Soup etc. They are all much better quality and because the dogs need less of them because they are not made up of all fillers the cost in price is very little. The difference in nutrition is huge though.

Yes. I had fed my labs (who are now no longer after over 12 years) and a 3 year old (well almost) boxer with that or Purina Dog Chow and have great results. At 5 months, he should still be on puppy formula. If he's eating it, and doing well, why worry? You are giving him good food. Good luck, beagles are cute howlers!

out of your options, it is the best. however, keep a look out for more brands in the Philippines, i read an article that the pet supply market is growing there.
i would really look into feeding raw.
good luck.
and guys remember she's in the Philippines...not the states. what's available there is not what's available here. its a choice between alpo and pedigree. that appears to be it.
normally i would not recommend it.
