Ok I am confussed........... What exactly does being rocky back mean? Anyhow, will try to answer to the best of what I think I understand and to the best of my ability.
Let's face it..... Guys will be guys........ So he thinks you made a spelling error? Big freaking deal. Even if you did, which you say you didn't, we are all human and are allowed to a have a typo here and there....... geez.......... In theory dear, when someone "calls you out", or puts you down for some reason, they have issues of their own, and by making or trying to make someone feel less of who they are somehow makes them feel better for the moment. It is crazy thinking I know, but it is the way it is. What I don't get though, is why something so juvenile would upset you? Here is the deal........ Buy this guy doing or saying whatever it was to upset you, he was getting a reaction out of you, and that was his intentions and you gave him what he wanted. Just let it go and don't even worry about it. It is done and it is over. Poof, just like that. If you have to deal with him again, kill him with kindness.... It works.........I promise you....... Now he may not let you know that, but it does.... He seems to act as if he is a tough cookie. I am telling you the truth though. Or make some sarcastic response back, or just laugh. Laughter is good medicine........ Don't sweat it dear...... There will much more in life to come to sweat than somthing this minor. So smile already!!!!!!!!!

If I got ya story straight. I had this fool calling me off IM amnd he would start off nice then be a jerk and I would respond honestly and he would hang up, then he did it a couple times on IM and I'm like "hey if you want me to sit here and waste my day waiting for you to call just to p*** me off then slam the door in my face? The 21st century of the cold shoulder? I don't think so. I shook that man right outta my hair. Blocked him from all communication. I've learned more about control in the last 10 years than that jerk will ever know, Ps he's 54 and I'm 56, it doesn't get much goofier that at his age he has to control me like that and thinks i should like it and consider myself lucky! Pfft! This is a control issue. So is Iraq and we can all see how well that's coming along.

What was the question? Complete thoughts, written in clear, concise and complete sentences, with puctuation would help a lot.
