In his unfallen state, Satan was the annointed cherub who covers, whatever that entails. He sinned and fell before Adam and Eve did. He spoke to Eve thru the serpent in the garden to temp her. So Satan had already gone bad by Genesis 3:1-5.

Lucifer was already Satan before tempting Eve.
Satan is the king murderer, liar, etc. Not a good anoint cherub gone bad. Sounds too buffered....like a good male human who kills for a living. Doesn't jive.

Yes. On the basis that satan wanted the glory of being worshipped that is ONLY due to Jehovah God.
Jehovah; (Exodus 6:3) And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.

If Satan, who is STILL anointed, had repented one hour before Christ's crucifixion, all of creation would've been restored to it's former splendor. It just wasn't in the stars, so to speak. Satan is just one incredibly arrogant a*ss who *thinks* (like alot of people in here of the un-believing persuasion) that he's going to actually win this ages long war against God. He is stupidity personnified and winds up, ultimately, persona non grata-period.

Poor old 'eve'. Yet another story made up by men to cast women as temptresses, evil creatures.
Why was 'god' so touchy about knowledge and the shedding of light on things (wasn't 'lucifer' the bringer of light?). Another control-freak story to stop people questioning what those in power tell them to think and do.

Gone "bad" is a human or ADAMIAN term. I don't think it's in God's vocabulary.
Satan seems to taunt man and God. Satan has fun with man and God.

I never get over the fact that the bible was not written in English, but so many people seem to think that English versions of it are in God's words.
