The best answer is; nothing. Humans do not and are not causing Global Warming. The heating and cooling of the earth is a natural cyclic occurence that has happened throughout time. We as humans can do nothing to stop the earth from going through a period or heating. Global Warming as caused by humans is not FACT. It is a theory that has been endorsed by the Democatic Party for political gain. There is a very large contingency of scientists that openly oppose the Global Warming theory but they (not being liberals) have not been given fair media coverage to endorse their findings. The bottom line, don't believe everything you hear.

The best thing you can do for the environment is figuring out what you truly need in life, and then decreasing all the things that you don't need. Overconsumption is waste: wasted energy, wasted resources - these all have a global cost that are FAR MORE important than the speculation about global warming.

Shut up and get a tan -
The ice-core data is frequently cited as principal evidence to argue that CO2 is the earth’s main climate driver. It is, in a way, the jewel in the crown of the theory of man made global warming. But the ice-core data does not show that CO2 drives climate. It shows, very clearly, that variations in temperature precede rises in atmospheric CO2 – not the other way round. The two phenomena are divided by a time lag of several hundred years.

The best thing that any of us can do is not have enough kids to replace ourselves, so that the population of the earth goes down. Overpopulation is the root cause of global warming and it's better not to add to the problem. If you're going to have kids, try not to have American kids, since our per capita energy use is so high. Conserve people, not fuel.

Global warming is not what it seems, the Earth is going through a phase which has repeated over millions of years. Deep ice core drilling verifies this. Don't get sucked into inuendo various "experts" theorise over. The events we are witnessing are an accelerated natural process that will keep repeating for millions of years to come. One thing is certain, the earth will cease to exist when, and only when, the sun turns into a red giant and eventually goes super nova.

atmospheric pollution must be drstically reduced immediately. defforestation should be stopped and practice of afforestation i.e. growing of trees should be encouraged. reckless combustion of fuels like wood, coal, kerosene should be controlled, campaigns should be planned by the government as well as the NGOs to create public awareness about this universal problem which requires instant world attention and action.
