You keep in contact with them and all of a sudden they'll just ignore u like u dont exist
this is exactly why ive been so p1ssed off bout havin girl friends...u really know who ur friends are after time...and the fact is, when people ignore u, they dont want ur friendship
the way i see it, is if im the one contacting ppl and asking how they are doing and whats new etc...if they dont respond back, its their loss and they dont deserve my friendship
ive experienced this so much in my life and it p1sses me off, i aint doing ANYTHING wrong jeezus...is simply askin "how have u been" WRONG???? god...guys too...fvckers do the same thing

Been there. I think most people have as they grow older. I think you truly know who your friends are by this... if they don't care to know how you're doing, then what's the point of keeping the friendship going? It works two ways!
Good for you for at least TRYING... shows that you're a decent friend.

You sound thoughtful and considerate of others, makes you a desirable friend. Now consider, what makes you choose emotionally neglectful and unavailable people as your friends? Why is their acknowledgment and validation so important to you?
It's not wrong to ask how people are doing or how things have been going for them. If you are not being treated as you wish, leave them alone and they will call you. If they don't, you know what type of person you were dealing with. It's not important the number of friends you have, its the quality. Even if it's only one best friend. Let's be honest, the bad folk far outnumber the good ones on the planet. It's no wonder we struggle so hard all our lives to make contact with each other!

Rarely do friendships last for long periods of time. Boredom, change of jobs or address contribute to this because of convenience. Someone once told me, "if a friend cannot do anything for me, I have no use for them. I do not subscribe to this fully, but there is some truth to it.

well...um yah when they ignore you it probably means somthings wrong and their upset with you and just dont want to talk to you...sry but thats just what people do...i guess just keep trying to talk to them...ask them whats wrong...if they need your help...what cud U do to make things better...if you dont do that that realationship is lost
