mine didnt hurt at all. I was talking to my friend (we went together to get it done) as the guy was getting everything ready and next thing I knew he was like "ok your done" I looked down and it was finished. I didnt even know he had put it through yet. I thought he was still clamping it and marking the spot and stuff. it was sore afterwards, especially becuase my work pants sometimes touched it. my also got infected with a keloid, but as soon as I changed the jewellery from the hoop he pierced it with to a barbell it healed up in about 2 days. they do infect easily if your not careful and I found the hoop was too hard to clean, the barbell was much easier, but some places will only pierce with a hoop.

Go for it! I am addicted to piercings and feel if you want one then go for it and don't worry about the pain. I got my belly button done when I was 13 and it did not hurt. I am a wimp when it comes to pain, but I really did not even feel it especially at being so young you would think I would cry, but it was not bad at all. The only trouble I had with it is I can not wear anything but gold in any of my piercings so if I change it out to anything other then gold it tends to flare up, but if I keep gold in it then its fine. I would recommend wearing low pants so they do not rub on it or keep your pants unzipped enough to where you can fold them down. This keeps it from being aggravated. Also, keep it clean, I found liquid extra mild soap works really good then rinse it and spray with saline solution. I have 30+ piercings and use that on all of them and have never had a problem and very minor irritations. I even kept my belly button ring through my entire pregnancy with no trouble. Go for it if its what you want.

Doesnt hurt very much, depends on your pain tolerance, its only a two second piercing, so at the end of the day, how bad can it be! Easily infected, remains at risk of doing so for up to a year. Slowest healing piercing of all. My advice, clean it with rock salt dissolved in warm water. Turn gently once daily (DONT twist round and round.)

I had mine done once. It didn't hurt at all. But I went to a bad place. Mine was infected because they don't sterilize very well. Be sure you're going to a quality place. I now know 4 other people who had infected piercings from there. I didn't do research before, and now I have a nasty scar.

the only thing that really hurt while i was getting it done was when they put the clamp on my bell button and it stung a little when they put the ring in. but other then that it'll be sore for maybe a week. try and wear low rise pants and if you sleep on your stomach bunch up your covers and kinda make a pillow on your stomach that helped me sleep. as for infection mine never got infected clean it with sea salt 3x a day for a couple of weeks and it should be fine. and also dont change the ring for a couple of months or it'll take longer to heal.

They are not terribly painful piercings or they wouldn't be as common as they are, haha. The key is finding a piercer who knows what he or she is doing. Navel piercings are basically surface piercings, and therefore prone to infection and rejection. They have a really long healing period. Do some reasearch at http://www.wiki.bmezine.com and http://www.bmezine.com to get a better idea of what you may be getting into, and make sure that your aftercare is done properly.

it doesn't hurt that bad, but because of where it is at, it is always being rubbed, touched and irritated by something, like shirts, depending on how you sit your pants can hit it, arms folded in front of you, leaning on stuff, and the navel has a bad habit of collecting dirty stuff like lint.......that's why it is kind of hard to take care of, all I did with mine was wash it with hot (or warm) water and a good perfume and dye free soap 2 times a day in the shower, and had no problems with it.
