If you are not able to sleep when you want to then yes, you have a type of insomnia. If all this started three weeks ago then there's probably a reason for it. Stop taking Benedryl...That stuff is crappy for your sleep. You'll sleep when you're tired and if you have to suffer through a few bad days then that's what you'll have to do. Medication, even prescription meds are meant for short term usage only. Now in the meantime while you can't sleep, stop playing on YeeHaw Answers and go to Google and type in Sleep Hygeine...Look at the websites and start practicing good sleep hygeine...You'll be sleeping like a baby in no time...If not then go see your doctor and have a sleep study to rule out any true physical cause. Good Luck and Good Night.

No. You sleep the right amount of time. You need to get your bodys schedule turned back aound. You don't get to sleep earlier cuz you only got up a few hours ago. Then when you start sleeping in the morning, your body has to sleep until 4 cuz that's the only way to get the amount of sleeping time. You need to be strict with yourself - make yourself be out of bed during the day and don't allow yourself to nap or go to bed until night-time, at night force yourself to stay in bed. Getting up and doing things because your not sleeping. The simple act of getting out of bed wakes your body up and your body can't get the message that it's sleep time. . It will take 2-10 days

first- what time do you go to work? If you work late at night that it is not insomnia. Your body has gotten used to staying up and so you go to sleep later.

second- it is summer so are you staying up longer? If you are you could be keeping yourself up longer by participating in more activities later, for example drinking more soda, watching more tv, staying on the web longer. Once again your body could have just adopted to such activities or you are chemically keeping yourself up with stimulating habits.

Humans seem to follow the sun, they are sleeping later. Oh well, remember to keep a consistent sleeping schedule. It will keep you insomnia in check. (of course your body could also have adapted to sleeping late since your doing it consistently)

Basically, look for any change in your lifestyle over the past month. you could be doing something different.

Good night.

Well in my case I was once identified a extreme manic depressant which contributed to insomnia and dependancy. I ultimately requested for support and was once prescribed Zoloft and Trazadone. The longest I ever stayed up with out medicinal drugs or alcohol was once 12 days directly. If your some thing like me take prescribed medicinal drugs however I am a gorgeous extreme case.

No. I think one day you should get up at ten in the morning after you initially fall asleep. That way you will still be tired, yet have enough energy to go about your day and fall asleep at a decent hour in the evening. That should solve your sleeping issue!

have you been stressed lately? just because you can't sleep doesn't mean that you have insomnia. believe me, 5-7 hours a night to an insomniac is heaven. try asking your doctor about it. :]
