Theres a kind of shy girl that I havent spoken to ever, but weve shared a few glances before and I think she probably knows I like her.
One day when we passed by each other on way to class, I turned to look at her and she was already looking at me and kept looking me in the eye until we passed so I just held the gaze back (wanted to look confident). She kept a straight face so she didn't smile or anything which is why I'm not sure about what she is thinking (I've smiled at her before). She's done this long eye contact 3 times now, but 90% of the time she just pretends not to see me. Why does she do this?! I don't get either good or bad signs from her! I don't think she wants me to talk to her because there's never a time where she is approachable and alone. Don't say go talk to her! School's out...

She is sending you signals.
The eye contact means that she obviously likes you.
Just talk to her. Get her phone number. Take her on a date.
Like all this time you haven't done anything about it..........like hello!
It also sounds like she is very very shy.
When she is around people, just pull her aside, and say i finally got you alone............be yourself and just talk to her.
Girls like guys who have confidence. Show her that you are confident enough to pull her aside.

She's probably playing hard to get. Girls do that all the time. When she's in the same room with you, she won't look at you once or acknowledge you at all. She'll just continue talking to her friends and pretend like you aren't there. You can also catch her laughing loudly in the distance, surrounded by people. Am I right? Oldest trick in the book.
But in actuality, she's probably stealing glances of you all the time. That's her way of trying to get you to notice her. These are the kind of shy girls that only wait for the guy to approach her. Hate to break it to ya, but you have to go talk to her or at least find a way of communication with her. Ask her friends for her number or screenname or something. Then she'll know something's up and wouldn't think there's just another guy pretending to like her. When school's back up, make sure to go up to her. Oh and don't forget, always smile when you make eye contact, even if you have to be the first person to do it. Good luck!

Lol. I like that last sentence you put: "Dont say go talk to her! Schools out..." ha ha. But anyways, im a dude and even i know this. You absalutely right about her wanting you to talk to her. Sadly schools out and now you dont have the chance to. Do you have myspace? Does she have myspace? If so you could talk to her on there. Add her as a friend and say you've seen her befor and been noticeing her lately and wanted to chat. Just get to know her and then make your move. Be sweet and polite to her though. Also if she doesnt or you dont have a myspace (which u should get one, lol.) if you have IM and have friends from your school talk to them on IM, if you know her name then ask them if they have her IM or something. Find some way to talk to her, or next year even if shes not alone stop her and talk to her. Simple conversations lead to the bigest things like love and crushes. lol. Even if you ever pass her and just say Hi, atleast she knows your making an effort for her. It sounds to me she wants you to chase her. So do it. Good luck dude ;-)

being a dude i get what ur saying ive had the eye contact thing before and after i just asked my gf she says that since shes shy she might be insecure and she likes u but she afraid to let u know so im not sure what good asking her now will do sinceschools out and you wont see her but try adding her on myspace and start there see if ur into the same things

In this case I'll say no reaction is good. If she reacts badly, then you're done. But with zero cues, then you still have a shot. And since she locked gaze with you first, I'd guess it's probably a good sign.

holding the stare means she likes you and wants to get to know you. do you know anyway to contact her , a phone number, she lives right down the road. if you can / when you can make up a excuse to get to know her. if you're still to shy the next time you catch her stareing at you smile at her----it actually the girls responsibility to speak first.

I'd say she likes you or at least wonders about you. Girls who do these kinds of things (I happen to be that kind of girl time to time) think of these things as a big deal. I would say start to talk to her. If she treats you like... poop... then forget about it. If she's anywhere from friendly to flirty then totally go for it!

I do this all the time with these guys i like it's flirtting we do it to really tell if a guy likes us just ask her out if she say's no forget about it if not go for it! all a girl ever wants is for a guy to not be afraid to ask them out k!

yes, she def. ls into you! maybe call her, see if a friend or something knows her number.
idk how you're going to really approtch her if schools out, but try and figure something out.
it was smart of you to hold her gaze. and the reason she sometimes wouldn't look at you, is b/c, like you said, she's shy.
just be sweet to her, okay?
