1) Theres a portion that asks about previous employment and since I have never been employed before I put down volunteer work. It asks the reason I stopped working there, what should I say if I worked for a week and then the program was over?

2) Also, it asks for any additional information. Since I'm only a student I want to explain myself. So I have:

"As a hardworking and motivated individual I have taken and plan to take numerous advanced and honors placement classes, as well as participated in several extra curricular activities such as model united nations, volunteer work, etc."

Is this too much? How can I improve that so it doesn't sound so pretentious?

Thanks a lot for your help!! I really appreciate it.

Tell them that the job was only temporary job to gain experience. That you are now looking for a permanent job.

Just say that the program ended! That's fine.

That actually sounds good., but you need to fix the grammar and spelling a wee bit:

As a hardworking and motivated individual, I have taken and plan to take numerous advanced and honors placement classes. I have also participated in several extracurricular activities: Model United Nations, volunteer work, etc.

Since you said 'several', though, you really SHOULD list more than two. If those are the only two in which you've participated, then you don't want to use 'etc.'. They will catch on that you haven't mentioned what 'etc.' is, and they might suspect you're exaggerating a bit. It's better to focus on exactly what your role was in the activities you performed than to leave the interviewers wondering about some missing pieces. They'll just ask you what 'et cetera' implies, and you'll stick your foot in the mouth if you can't supply anything. You don't want that.

Good luck in any future interviews!

for previous employment you can say the reason you stopped working there was that you successfully complete the program..

Although your additional information statement is fine, you could add information specific to the job you are applying for, so that they can see how all your hord work and motivation can pay off for their benefit. For example, I am a hardworking and motivated individual. I have taken numerous advanced and honor placement classes, such as (list relevant ones) and hope to continue to do so. I have also enjoyed participating in other activities such as model United Nations and volunteer work where I learned to (list skills here)

Actually that sounds great. It might help if you explain what type of job you are applying for. Then you can get more input from other users. The more you have the better. If you are still in school or just got out then it is perfectly fine to have no job experience. Just let them know in your own words that you put all your hard work and effort into school and that is why you don't have a lot of job experience. And if you have any awards or rewards of your achievements, make copies and turn them in with your job application. A lot of employers know that not everyone has job experience, you have to start out somewhere. As long as you tell them that if they give you a chance, then you will prove to them that you will be a great asset to their company, then they will definitely consider you. Good luck!

First off, what did u do as a volunteer?
whatever u did u now have experience in that field.
stuffed envelopes? u now have office experience.
kinda like that.
be vague, make them wonder. easier to explain at interview, then on paper.
reason u left was assignment was completed.
the company doesnyt want to hear that u will be tied down with homework etc.
they want to know what u will do for them.
u r an intelligent hard working goal oriented individual striving to make the world around urself as right as can be, or words in that nature, good luck.

it is really great to know that you are interested in participating in extra curricular activities but sorry to say you are lacking confidence there are ample opportunities for freshers and you can always avail please learn to present things in front of others even if your acheivement is not that big. it's your desire to study and work which is highly appreciated and there are many firms which will provide you with a part time job.
Mention that worked on assignements like (where ever you have worked mention that) this will enhance your CV

The whole idea is to sell yourself. Leave it on there, and be ready to sell it when you go in for an interview. Act energetic, motivated, and self-confident.
