I want to by a digital camera. There are 3 models that I like.
1. Panasonic DMC-TZ3
2. Canon IXUS 75
3. Canon IXUS 950 IS
I'm looking in the camera: finess, resolution, acutance (I mean, the pics), a good matrix, live colors(in the pics),battery long life, a not bad optical zoom (but not as a pro)...
Thanks for your help!

Go for a Canon

i have been reading reviews and I am waffling between the Canon IXUS 950 IS and the Panasonic DMC TZ3.
The Panasonic has good reviews and is a few months newer than the 950 Canon. Price wise, they are close enough to not make a difference. Brand wise- the Canon wins by reputation alone.
I personally would want to try both and gauge the quality of the pictures taken on different modes. Will the store allow you to do that on their display models?
Based on reading the features alone, the Panasonic is the winner. However, advertising alone is not that reliable Go and do a hands on experience.

I don't know those models, but I'd say Canon is a better brand for quality and it will last longer. I have a Canon. If you go to a store like Future Shop or Best Buy, the assistants really help you and tell you about each camera. They helped me, even though I didn't hardly even know what I was looking for.

out of the 3 you mentioned, i prefer the Canon ixus 950 IS, as that offers a hell of a lot more to the owner.

I agree with the other forum member who recommends the Panasonic DMC-TZ3. Its Image Stabilization works flawlessly. Go for it!

Good luck!

If you go to www.cnet.com and type in the models in their search bar, you'll get results for their reviews. Their reviews are actually pretty good and helpful. There are also comments from people who use or have used the cameras and you can also base your purchase on their experience................
