Well I would rather have grandchildren who have a better chance of growing up with a father who wasn't negligent of his children by being a law breaker and has a chance of being around to BE a father.
So between the two situations definitely one who was a citizen.

I am white and my son only dates Asian women. It is none of my business who he loves as long as he is happy.Of course most people are on a ego trip and want grandkids who look just like them.I think it is human nature.

I would rather have my daughter marry the man she loves. But I would not allow her to marry an illegal alien from any country.

What a wierd question!

Well being as my mother is white, and my father black AND guatemalan, I guess my being totally against illegal immigration doesn't make me racist!

Puhleeze stop trying to equate protecting our borders with being racist. Take a look at my golden skin!

PS: I LOVE these answers, "I would have her marry the illegal because at least he would work hard..." You forgot to add the remainder of the sentence, "AND BE POOR AS DIRT!"

I DON'T HAVE A WHITE DAUGHTER and I would rather have my BLACK DAUGHTER MARRY A BLACK MAN and my BLACK SON marry A BLACK WOMAN. I am NOT a racist. I AM A SEPARTIST,I BELIEVE PEOPLE CAN LOVE EACH OTHER WITHOUT MIXING THE RACES. I believe if GOD HAD wanted us to be half this and half that, HE would have made us that way! I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SO-CALLED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS because I don't think it is they who are illegal, but the people who came HERE and "DISCOVERED" THEIR COUNTRY WHILE THEY WERE OCCUPYING IT! IT is us who are the trespassers, NOT THEM! I know this is not a popular answer but, it is time we AMERICANS start thinking of other people as well as ourselves. WE ACT LIKE WE ARE THE ONLY ONES ENTITLED TO THE BEST OF THE BEST...we all are brothers and sisters and we should share and shouldn't make other countries suffer so we can progress. THAT ISN'T FAIR!

This question is so racist!
If my daughter wanted to marry an illegal I would try to help him get citizenship or a green card!
If my daughter married an African American who was already a citizen I would welcome him into the family.
If I HAD to choose, I would choose a citizen or resident alien (legal), the color/race really wouldn't matter, but the law would.
If my daughter had kids, of any race or color, I would love them because they were my grand-kids..... Wouldn't you?

Doesn't matter to me as long as she (don't have a daughter but speaking hypothetically), she doesn't marry an as\shole and if she were mistreated he would turn up missing for a fact.

I agree with Kahaida w, if god had wanted us to be half this and half that he would have made us that way, I a proud to be white and I don't want my daughter to marry any one who is not white and if she did I would disown her, maybe even shoot both, I am not necessarily prejudiced but I damn sure am separatist, if you don't like it kiss off , I am entitled to my opinion as well as you are.I also feel if you are not proud of who you are, black ,white, red or ???then you are not much to talk about, however i don't agree with the whites holding other people back, if Mexico still had the western U,S, it would be in the mess the rest of Mexico is in today and they would not want to live there, the white man has built the society's that every one want to live in , they just don't want to work for it
