i need to lose weight short term, for a really important event next week, i heard that eating only vegetables and taking supplements while working out(cardio and weights) will get me down about 10 pounds? is this true? (please dnt answer if you are just going to say its unhealthy)

When I turned vegan (i.e. stopped eating meat or dairy allrogether) I didn't notice a dramatic change. I stopped gaining weight, wich was really good, but I didn't lose any.

If you're turing to veggies for a week it's good, because most of the calories we consume comes from animal fat. If you stop eating meat and dairy it will be much easier to control how much fat you're eating. Make sure you don't eat the food that's too oily or very sweet.

No, I'm not going to tell you it's unhealthy. Many people believe it is actually healthy.

try a body cleanse, for two days in a row drink only water and green tea and eat only water based fruits and vegetables....Then work out the next few days watching your calorie intake...1200 to insure you will lose the weight in that short amount of time.

I don't know if it's true that you can lose 10 pounds THAT quick, but you probably will lose some weight. I do know that drinking a lot a lot of water will also help. Good luck with that!

i was watching fight girls on the television, and this girl had to lose 13 pounds in 4 days... an wut she did was drink A lot of WATER then she took ONE scoope of protein a day, and did a LOT of brisk walking might want to stay away from really eating a lot just little fruit snacks to get by.... all this if ur really trying to lose that much weight in a little amout of time!!! good luck....she did 6 mile walks a day...

i believe that vegetables is really good in every people's health, but i think taking supplements cant help you, you don't know it if has a side effect on your body.

its true that you will loose weight in eating only vegies and it is also healthy especially if those greens are natural and fresh wihout preservations, actually there's this certain organization here in our country that they are actually against eating meat that is why they only eat veggies..

If you don't use supplements then it will be healthy. Run on the treadmill and bring your ipod or exercise with friends and family.
