My thoughts is our "Ark" is our Life... One that resembles the life God intended through the Bible, one that is solid, built well enough to last the storms of life, and stand firm...

Do you think this is a good testament to God's Word, or is there a better way I haven't outlined or possibly thought of...

Yes the Ark is a type of Christ and we have Jesus... What i mean is the Ark was a testament to all those surrounding Noah and His family that they believed God's word and that God is doing something - like about to flood the earth... Today Jesus is too return it could be right now or in a a million more years but each of us have 70-80years to accept or reject Christ - is our life as Chrsitians showing people you are serious about your beliefs that if you answered Jesus is our ARK can people see that, can they look at you and say wow you look like Jesus - that's exactly what Jesus would do? Do you have something out there for people to see - and now that Jesus is Lord... Do you have an Ark, something that shows you believe Jesus is coming again, and that His word is true...

(The ark was a type of Jesus - I am using the ark for a different use right now...)

Your right our life is our testimony. How we live and act as Christians should show others Christ through us. No believers do not read the bible for most part but they do watch us. Your neighbors know if you go to church on Sunday's and if you miss a Sunday too.

I love introspective questions, like this one!

Yes, in a way, the ark can symbolize God's protection against storms.

For instance, Noah preached and gave people an invitation to get on the ark, but no one wanted to believe him. They felt he was crazy, because it took many years to complete, so they saw no evidence of the coming flood.

It's the same way with many people, they want proof before they believe. And after God showed them the proof, it was too late to come onto the ark?

Perhaps that's the lesson here. Noah had no proof, other than what he heard from God himself. But no one else could hear God. His 3 sons and the 4 women (Noah's wife and the sons' wives) all had faith that what was said was true.

And when the floods came, the people wanted on the ark and then it was too late.

Is there a lesson we can learn from this story today????

Only you can decide.

Noah did have the ark. I believe the ark is a picture of Jesus whom we have as a testament to God's Word. We enter into Christ, as Noah entered the ark. The ark protected Noah and kept him and his family through the storm just as Christ keeps us and shelters us through storms. The ark also sheltered Noah and his family from being destroyed with the rest of the earth, as Christ protects us from the coming judgment.

Our Ark is Jesus Christ.

Back then Noah and his Family sought refuge and security inside the ark. Today we find our refuge and saftey with Jesus Christ.

All I can say is that Noah's Ark was not the source of the storms.
Jesus remains as the anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19) to help us ride out the storms as we are connected to Him.

God set a rainbow in the Heavens as a covenant between God and man that never again will the earth be destroyed by water. Everytime it rains, and the sun comes out during the rain, we see a rainbow.

Great comments. Jesus said we are to be the light of the world. It is sad the most Christians do not set good examples so Christianity is looking bad.

I reckon Earth is our ark, the universe our ocean. It's more than enough. But we obscure it, building Towers of Babel, and screens of beliefs.
