If you think the Bible is a book of effective prophecy, you are going to get a king-sized disappointment when you actually READ the thing. Even God's own spoken prophecies came out wrong. When God is showing Adam and Eve the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he tells them that should they eat of the fruit of that tree, "ON THAT DAY you will die."
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Adam lived another 939 years. Think about that.
To all apologetics bullcrappers who claim that "to God, a day was like 1,000 years, so he was right after all, abracadabra." I say then that the plants, created "one day" before the Sun to sustain them according to Genesis chapiter 1, would have died out with decades with no Sun. You therefore can't have that interpretation. Don't try to put words in the Bible that aren't there! But maybe God's mistake is excusable, he was just a teen-ager then... :-)

Jesus came to the telling people everywhere to Repent for the Kingdom of the Heavens has drawn near.
Looking at all of the bible prophesy that has been fulfilled, people everywhere should reexamine what they believe and are being taught and compare those teachings with what Jesus said and lived by in the bible.

I think it is: Do not look at the other generations for excuses to not burn hot and violent for God or to not believe He is coming. Instead face every challenge of faith decided to stay close to Him and make Him known. Push past the faith of earlier generations and reach deeper into the Spirit. Be filled and stay filled with the Holy Spirit do not suffer one day to be lukewarm, idle or to be distracted from the cause.

The earth is still here. It's not over yet. The message of churches should be to turn the other cheek and not be so full of yourselves.

This is not the "END TIMES".
Do some research and notice how many "END TIMES" there have been -- and nothing ended.
Ever hear of the Millerites?
