Been there. You never have to do anything you don't want to do. He might be a nice guy and respect you, but in the long run you'll realize that you are both completely different. Sometimes ppl come into our lives to serve a purpose. I'm sure a purpose will be to remind you not to be like that, or to live a life in the present w/ out anything in your system.
Stay healthy ;)

Why would you want to stay in a relationship with someone that does everything you seem to be against. Is it because you like the badboy? I was the same way when I was a teenager and I always attracted the smart girls. To this day I dont understand why. As a dad now I will be sure to do my best to keep these knuckle-head kids away from my daughter. I dont mean to sound like a old guy.

You'll find these types liars, honey some things don't change. You will find your self with a glass of a soft drink or water and he or his friends will lace it with acid (tasteless) or what ever. And then his other agenda bedding you down will end up with a pregnancy, then he will drink and drive, you'll have to throw the booze out or you'll go to jail with an MIP. Then he'll be quite the addict and become road kill. Yea I used to be you, and I never used either but read this stuff with an eye toward believing it happened to me at 18, in 1972.

I think that ur bf would have 2 quit because u obviously r not going 2 start. I don't think that its a healthy relationship and it may lead you into problems. He respects you now, but he might not later.

good for you that you know what you want and don't want. some people are not strong enough to be able to resist the temptation of trying drinking or drugs.
that said- you should just wish him well and move on.

You can't change someone, so this relationship isn't going to work. Best for you to cut it off now before things get too involved.

What's the big deal? Is that really what bothers you? Are you happy with him? If you are none of that matters. If it does get rid of him. God, it's so easy. Doesn't get any easier

Find someone who is more compatible. Would you really want him to be the father of your 34 children?
