He wont know the difference. Rats do not place value on sex, they just do it because it's in their natural programming, they really do not think, "oh yeah, I'm getting some."
Chances are, if he's older and got fixed, then he'll still try to mount a female if given the chance...
If he's younger than he wont know the difference either way...
I hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!!!

If you JUST got him desexed (like today) he probably feels groggy. Tomorrow, he'll feel fine. And like the person above me said, he'll be lonely without another ratty friend. Unless he has a friend and you got him desexed for agression issues?

If he wants to kick your as* for having him "desexed" then yes, I say he still feels manly.

No, but he's going to feel way better soon! He won't have the typical male sex drive, wanting to hump anything that moves... He'll be happy and content, you should consider getting him a friend, then he won't get too lonly!

Considering rats are not dependent of their anatomy to make them feel whole, I would say he possibly didn't even notice. Only humans place value on worthless things.

That's exactly what you are doing.
Rats don't ever feel "manly" since rats can't feel "manly" to begin with.
