Anyone who consumes raw flesh whether it's from a mammal or a fish is foolish with all the pollution and chemicals in our food chain.

As far as eating horse flesh goes, to each his own, but I personally would not eat it.

If it is part of your culture to eat horse meat then I guess it is fine. In the US we do not, as a practice, eat horse meat. As far as eating anything raw, especially meat, It is definitely an acquired taste. You also have to remember that raw meat of any kind can contain dangerous bacteria that would normally be destroyed during the cooking process. Bon Appetite!!

I follow the Colonel Potter rule of meat - I don't eat anything pretty. Horses are beautiful, can't do it.

Is this coming from personal experience?

If my horse breaks his leg in the middle of the desert, I might think about eating him.
