Check out Necromanicide. They're a Christian death metal band from Malaysia. I have one of their CD's. It's not half bad.

Or go with supersonicdude001's idea and really freak your mom out. I recommend Venom's Possessed:

"Look at me Satans child
Born of evil thus defiled
Brought to life through Satanic birth
Raised in Hell to live on Earth
...
We drink the vomit of the priests
Make love with the dying whore
We suck the blood of the beast
And hold the key to deaths door
...
I am possessed by all that is evil
The death of your God I demand!
I spit at the virgin you worship
And sit at my lord Satan's left hand"

LOL. The 80's were cool!!!!!!

the song seems harmless, but if it has a devilish sound, it might sink into your head. it doesn't worship Satan, but it might create a depressing atmosphere around you. my suggestion is find a common ground with your mother, whether through music or whatever. if you just don't agree, come up with a compromise, like, she has to listen to your music, but you have to listen to hers too, maybe she will appreciate the different genres. if all else fails, stash your music at a friends house.

Let her know that just because she dislikes something does not mean it comes from Satan.

Most likely she believes in things due to her emotions, not evidence. So you will have a hard time convincing her.

I don't know how you can convince your mom that death metal is not evil. All she will have to do is look at the records. Maybe you can convince her that YOU aren't evil even though you like death metal.

You might want to do some research on how music subliminally enters the brain and how it affects us. Remember those tapes they play at night or while you are hypnotized to subliminally get you to stop smoking etc ? That is how your music is affecting you and if you don't believe me and love yourself, do a little research

Make her listen to a song that really does worship satan. Hopfully, she can tell the difference.

No, it isn't innocent. You need to turn your mind to good things and forget the dark side. You are the music you listen to...let it be praise and find a good Christian band to listen to...there are plenty out there.

Music can't worship. However, take a look at everything you do in your life; listening to music included...

Does it glorify God?

Jesus said,
"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters." Matthew 12:30

Almost certainly not possible. If she believes in satan, she isn't smart enough to figure out the realities, even if you were to present a conclusive case.
