Paula Deen cooks food that I would actually eat, so does Rachel Ray sometimes. Their cooking isn't too complicated and I feel like I could reproduce it. Some of the other chefs are crazy with the stuff they cook. I mean who really eats quail eggs?

Rachel Ray. Maybe Alton Brown, but his recipes are just the basics and can be bland. I feel like Emeril's aren't very conventional for everyday cooking, Sandra Lee's are just "ok", Paula Dean's tend to be kinda unhealthy, and GIada's tend to be mostly Italien or Italien-style.

Just a personal opinion, though.

For me it is a toss up... I use alot of Paula Deen and Rachel Ray. With Paula, I love the confort food aspect, and how easy the recipes are to follow. Although, with Rachel, I love the fact that her recipes are good, and fast! I would have to say that I prefer Rachel Ray. Try her Meatballs & Spaghetti... it's wonderful!

Out of all the shows, and I have pretty much watched them all, I have made the most dishes from The Barefoot Contessa. Tyler Florence does some awesome ones on his new show "Tyler's Ultimate" so that's a close second.
