Well, if Johnny gets off meth, that's something! I just read today that some woman saw the virgin Mary in her pie or something (I can't remember exactly what it was). The thing about the bible is, it was written by a bunch of people who believed very strongly in spirituality. Noah building an ark could have been exagerated from a henchman taking his dog out on a fishing trip. I'd say God is giving us many signs that people conveniently chalk up to Mother Nature, global warming, natural disasters, epidemics, or statistical anomalies. Would you consider the world's starvation and AIDS epidemic a product of poverty and daftness, or believe that it's God's way of righting the wrongs of overpopulation and homosexuality? Depends on how you look at it. I believe He's making more of a statement now than He did when the Hebrews told all the tales we now read (2000 years of exageration noted) in the 500th edition of the Bible. Tell someone a secret sometime, have them pass it along to ten people, then repeat it back to you. Consider the exagerations you discover were made to your original secret about 1/10,000 of what you read in the Bible. God does his thing quietly and discreetly, but he gets **** done. If it were any other way, we'd all be choking on brimstone fumes. Johnny getting off meth might just be as miraculous as that immaculate conception everyone loves to think happened. The smart money says Mary gave it up...unless you can show me another example of it over the past 2000 years. I think God is doing his best, and most notable, work right now.

Everyone will see when the time comes and the sky in the east will split and a light so bright you can't look at it, and the day of judgment comes and you see people leaving and wondering where they went. If He let you all see evidence today it wouldn't be of His will and wouldn't be letting you make your choice, He doesn't have to prove Himself--YOU DO. There are prophets all the time trying to share Ho is word with you, look around closer and see the signs. I know I wouldn't be here today if He had chosen to take me, I should be dead according to some Dr. I have had 4 heart attacks, bypass surgery, seizures, blocked legs, blocked intestines, pacemaker. Look at people that have been through real tragedies and they are OK now, Look!!!!

Greeting to you and everyone,
God did send everyone more his signs. There are people who may not take notice this matter. Or thought about it. God did send many prophets, such as Adam (peace be upon him) the miracle (call this cool stuff ) is came out of thin air without biological parents , Moses (peace be upon him) is has made sea apart each other, Isa / Jesus (peace be upon him) cured blind, leprosy and many others, abraham / ibrahim (peace be upon him) who prove that statue shapes is no gods at all , and Muhammed (peace be upon him) showed the signs of day of judgement - the moon shall be split into pieces, there are many prophets gave and showed many people. They also left some lessons, teaching or pass knowledge about our God, His sign, and how to behave on this world. These are many signs out there.

Every time I see a pregnant woman or a newborn baby, it is a sign from God that He is not yet fed up with the human race. The 'miracles' in the old testament did not happen all at once. They are spread out over a few thousand years. You just haven't lived long enough to see one or you are to self-centered expecting a personal revelation that you fail to see the big picture. A man on the moon isn't good enough for you?

I think part of the reason for the apparent lack of miracles is that our generation is jaded and will scrutinize the supernatural elements out of it. Another reason is that the stories in the Bible don't act as a set of minutes for the time. Think of them as Headline news snippets. They only record the remarkable. So I don't think there are less prophets or miracles today. They just aren't obvious or easy to recognize.

ok, I never thought of this much before a few months ago.... I was kinda wondering myself of the *why*.... and here it is as best as I can state it...... if you read your bible carefuly you will see that all those *signs* were for the Jew, the chosen ppl.... and the bible states, that the signs were given to the Jew so they would believe..... and yes the bible does state that, not in my words but in Gods..... they were a ppl of *signs*..... they had to *see* the workings of God to believe..... and there was no writen word way back when, so God sent prophets to spread His word and the teachings..... when the writen word came about there was no need for prophets...... we have preachers, teachers, missionaries, etc.... but NO PROPHETS that can add to the Word..... Jesus was the last prophet, sign, sacrifice, living word, etc...... all things changed when Jesus rose from the grave.......I still see miracles tho not as large as what you are talking about...... God bless

In the latter days, people will seek signs but will not find them. Plenty has happened! Everything that is foretold in the Holy Bible is coming to pass! Its been happening everyday, every year, every minute of everyday.
Uncurable diseases, murders, robberies, liars, floods, droughts, killer hurricanes, sins are getting worse. The young turning against their parents, killing them, sometimes killing the grandparents, usually for drug money; parents killing their kids. Its all coming to pass; these God says, is only the beginning of suffering before He comes back to take His Church home to be with Him.
The Prophecy is being fulfilled more and more everyday.

Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
The signs and wonders are in the Bible. That's sufficient. The Devil will cause wonders to occur to attract people.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
GOD bless

He does do those things, it's just that for the most part they happen on the mission field or in church settings where only the people who go to the church know about it and it doesn't make the news.
God uses signs to confirm the gospel message not to make it on the ABC news or "That's Incredible".
