A quick solution is to get some Kennel Dip from the pet shop, COOP or Tractor Supply. It comes in a small bottle and you put a small amount into a gallon on water and wet the dog down thoroughly.
We're in drought conditions here so ticks will be plentiful.
Learn how to deal with pulling them off and drowning them in soapy water.

If you really can't touch them without getting phsically sick, then listen to Kimmie. Take the dog to the vet and have them do it. If you want to give it a try, you'll need the following: tweezers, rubbing alcohol, bowl. Pour someof the rubbing alcohol into the bowl. Get a cotton ball and get it wet with rubbing alcohol. Cover tick with soaked ball. tick will rear out a little to breathe. VERY GENTLY and SLOWLY, take the tweezers and pull the tick off said animal. You need to remove the head from said animal, that's why I said gently and slowly. Then drop dirty nasty tick into bowl. Bye- bye tick.

A veterinarian should be able to fit you in today or tomorrow, they can safely remove the ticks.
Dogs infested with ticks will likely need to be rehydrated with IV fluids, so an overnight stay is usually needed too.
Good Luck

Put liquid soap on a cotton ball and dab the tick for a few seconds. The soap should smother it enough so it lets go, then you'll have to remove it. I know that it's gross to touch them, but it's what you bargained for when you took home your poochy.

Do not get any ticks on you. My mom's best friends husband went camping when he was 7, a tick got into his blood stream and stayed there until he was 50, exploded and turned his brain into mush (over a period of months) and he died.
True story, very scary, get this problem taken care of ASAP.

Get a flea/tick spray and spray him down. You still have to pull the ticks off, as they don't fall off by themselves. Use a tweezer and grasp the tick as close to the head as possible, then pull slowly off.
