Tell me what there is to live for, and I might reconsider my wanting to die. I'm not gonna kill myself, purely because I'm too lazy to do it, but I don't wish to be here anymore either.

Suicides want to put an end to their suffering and they see death as the only viable option.
"Is it a loving god that demands we live when living only prolongs the agony and suffering? "
The Bible doesn't address the issue of a person committing suicide. There are about 5 or so instances of people committing suicide in the Bible and they are just recorded with the circumstances that led up to them without any comments about what God thought about the people who killed them self.

God doesnt demand that we live in agony and suffering. We are sinners and the sin surrounding us causes us much suffering. The thing is you can always find happiness and love in God...you just have to look for it and pray about it...it may seem like its not going to ever come your way...but it does and i know its made my life worth living...even with the agony and suffering i have dealt/deal with....you just have to know that there is something better...

well you bring up a good point, i guess that those who kill themselves are in a way looking for happiness. I dont know what goes through someones head when they get to the point of actually carrying it out, we all get depressed and the though goes through our minds but, maybe it is that they are looking of happiness.
Ok the part about God is totally a new subject. Life is only miserable if you dont know God. When you really know him, and are not just a church goer because you feel that is the right thing to do, but when you really know God's love, living isnt misery. It's full of joy, try it, give yourself to him and you will know the joy that I feel right now...

I have been suicidal several times in my life, and yes, I DID want to die. The thought of going on living, of feeling anything, even happiness, was intolerable. All I wanted was oblivion and nothingness.
Your statement is typical of those who have not been so far down that life itself becomes unlivable. This is understandable. Unless you've been there, I honestly don't believe you can comprehend what true suicidality is.

I think you can want to die and want to be happy at the same time. Most of the time, people aren't even smart enough to understand whether they have hope or if they're just moody.

Well, when I suicided last year it was definitely because I wanted to die, and I did - for 13 minutes. Yet, here I am. The truth is, I've committed suicide several times, and have been dead numerous times, yet here I am. Why????

I have wanted to die. I always could think of a reason not to and it had nothing to do with God.

Suicides want to die at that moment in life. They have to realize that life can and does change.

Some people commit suicide thinking that they will go to heaven. I think before Euthanasia can become an accepted practice, we need to do away with this delusion.
