You're lucky to get to go to a new highschool! I was also a little nervous to go to a new school, but I absolutely LOVE highschool lol...it sounds stupid, but everyone grows up a lot and you make the friends you'll keep for a long time. It was different in my district though, because highschool is only 10th-12th because we have soo many kids. But 9th grade was very easy in the grand scheme of things. I'm going into 12th grade, and looking back, those classes were a piece of cake ;) I'm not sure how likely it is that you'll have friends in your class, but for me that was an opportunity to make a lot of new friends, which I am now very close with. At my school, we have lots of different clubs and groups for kids that want to get involved and volunteer. I'm sure you're high school will probably have the same. But don't worry about it at all. I was afraid I wouldn't know anyone in my classes either, but it was okay, because for the most part, no one knew eachother because there are kids from grades 10-12 in most of my classes. Have fun in highschool...I wish I didnt' have to leave in just one year...it truly is 'the best time in your life'. Have a good year :)

I started a new school this year too (I'm in 10th now) and we're the first grade ever in the school. Keep your head up girl!! At first everyone wont be friends but by October/November you'll have all the friends you want and you'll be comfortable. The classes might be tough at first because you and your teacher are just now getting to know each other but there's a lot of homework and a lot of Romeo and Juliet lol

actually ninth grade in high school is just like any other school year but sometimes it can be hard for those who are in high school for the first time. there will be times when you will be faced with challenges like learning in a fast-paced atmosphere and having to do well in order to prevent summer school. there will be times when you will be faced into doing things you've never done before like drinking, for example. It all seems overwhelming. However, with the right attitude, you will do fine. Also, don't expect to make friends quickly for it will take time and effort. Remember, you are just like everyone else when you meet a different person: nervous and shy. Stay out of trouble, don't make friends with bad people who get in trouble.
GOOD LUCK IN FIRST YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL!

Grade 9 harder than grade 8 by a lot but its not that much harder my average dropped a bit though so dont worry about that. For seeing freinds it depends how big your highschool is. My schools like 2500 kids which is alot but i still see my freinds all the time and i get a freind or two in each class.

Just relax, chill. Classes wont be that hard, and youll make friends with confidence. And dont go back to your old school to much, start focusing on your new one. If youre looking for volunteer opportunities, ask around the office or coaches.

Its something to adjust to, but no its not hard. Dont overwhelm yourself before it even starts. Theres a good chance you might not be with your friends. But highschool is a time to branch out, grow and find new friends.
You are going to be just fine!
I thought that 9th grade was one of the best years thus far. and Im about to be a freshman in college.
GOOD LUCK!!

No, but it is the year that you will get used to high school. Because of this, your GPA will probably be at its lowest here. Just try to get a high GPA!
(GPA stands for Grade Point Average. Getting straight A's is a 4.0. It's another way of saying if you get A's, B's, etc. You'll learn more about it soon.)

Your worrying way too much about this..just have fun with it!
If you have friends in your classes then it'll be great but if you don't then meet new people..it's what a new school is all about..
Also, its not hard at all just do your work and pay attention..you'll be fine

No way. Besides this last year (my junior year), freshman year was my favorite. I actually went to a new school that year, so I didn't know anyone, but that was the only hard thing.
