Dear christians, do you praise Jesus more than you praise God?

and before you tell me God and Jesus are equal, these verses prove you not:


Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me

so when will i hear more praising for God than Jesus? the God who created everything and sent Jesus to you, why not praise him more often?

Honey, you're confused. Jesus was God made flesh. If you do not accept that, you will not understand anything else about Jesus.

Actually, those very verses are the verses that are also cited to prove that Jesus IS God.

Here is another:

John 8:58 - "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I AM!" In the OT (Exodus 3, I believe), God referred to himself as I AM.

So, in praising Jesus, I am praising God.

But to answer, your question, I praise both names. I don't know if I use the names an equal number of times, as I don't bother counting, but I use both names in my praise. I might lean toward using the name God more, though. Not sure why.

Come to think of it, there's a fair amount of "Heavenly Father" in my priase, too. As well as Jehova Jireh. Abba. Alpha and Omega, too.

It is all about the triangle relationship between The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each one is their respective selves; The Father isn't the Holy Spirit or THe Son. The Son, Jesus, isn't The Father or the Holy Spirit, etc. All of them are together in a sense, though, that is God. The Father is God, The Son is God, and The Holy Spirit is God, but they all aren't each other.

Jesus has two distinct natures. He's both fully God and fully man.

Jesus is God...
He is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; 28:9)
He is prayed to (Acts 7:59; 1 Cor. 1:2)
He was called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8)
He was called Son of God (Mark 1:1)
He is sinless (1 Pet. 2:22; Heb. 4:15)
He knew all things (John 21:17)
He gives eternal life (John 20:28)
The fullness of deity dwells in Him (Col. 2:9)

Jesus is fully man...
He worshiped the Father (John 17)
He prayed to the Father (John 17:1)
He was called man (Mark 15:39; John 19:5).
He was called Son of Man (John 19:35-37)
He was tempted (Matt. 4:1)
He grew in wisdom (Luke 2:52)
He died (Rom. 5:8)
He has a body of flesh and bones (Luke 24:39)

Jesus said the Father was greater than He not because Jesus is not God, but because Jesus was also a man and as a man he was in a lower position. He was ". . . made for a little while lower than the angels . . ." (Heb. 2:9). Also in Phil. 2:5-8, it says that Jesus "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men . . ."
Jesus has two natures. Jesus was not denying that He was God. He was merely acknowledging the fact that He was also a man. Jesus is both God and man. As a man, he was in a lesser position than the Father. He had added to Himself human nature (Col. 2:9). He became a man to die for people.
A comparison can be found in the marriage relationship. Biblically, a husband is greater in position and authority than his wife. But, he is no different in nature and he is not better than she. They share the same nature, being human, and they work together by love.
So, Jesus was not denying that He was God. He was simply acknowledging that He was also a man and as a man, he was subject to the laws of God so that He might redeem those who were under the law; namely, sinners (Gal. 4:4-5).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Jesus is the second person in the Holy Trinity (One God in three Divine Personalities), He is the Son of God and the Word of God. The Father is the Mind of God who designed and thought up the universe and all of its marvels. The Son is the Word of God who created the world and then became man to teach us of God's New Covenant with His people and to become the Sacrificial Lamb that died for our sins so that we could obtain the Salvation promised to us in the Old Testament. (John 1:) "In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God.Through Him God Made all things". . . . . "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and was full of Grace and Truth, We saw His Glory, the Glory which He received as the Father's only Son."
The Holy Spirit is the third person in th Holy Trinity (Three personalities in one God) The Holy Spirit is the Power of God and He has spoken through the Profits. It was also the Holy Spirit that overshadowed Mary so that God would impregnate her with His Son Jesus who became flesh so that He could die for our sins.

So since Jesus is God along with the Father and the Holy Spirit (who together are only one God, one and the same), and Jesus sacrificed Himself so that we could be with God in heaven in spite of our unworthiness as sinners, we Christians praise and thank Him as often as possible because He IS God just as the bible says.

Why is it that IN CHRIST all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily?

Why is God the Father encouraging us to bow down to Jesus and confess that He is Lord?

Why is Christ called the Alpha and Omega...
Why is it Christ Who is the Word who created all things?

Come man.. u'd better come better than that with debasing Jesus CHrist

He took on the form of a slave to carry out The Father's hearts desire.. DO NOT try to make Him less than He is for that...
He is ascended and has the name above all other names

There is NO Competition between any member of the Godhead..
HE is the Father Son and Spirit
and had we been able to understand Him with our limitedness then He would not be such a mysterious God would He...

I am sorry you have a hard time accepting a God who can do or can be anything He desires. I will not bother posting my scriptural references to you proving the Holy Trinity of God. I am sure you have been shown these verses many times before. I would rather ask you to think of this: In the Old Testament Scriptures, God Almighty manifested Himself as a burning bush to Moses, as a ball of light (Fire) to lead the Israelites and even manifested Himself through a donkey in order to keep His prophet from going mad. If God can present Himself to us in these and many other forms, why is it so hard for you to believe that He can manifest Himself in Human flesh? He is God Almighty, when you limit Him to earthly or human understanding, you can never understand the spiritual things He desires us to learn. God Almighty, is Christ Jesus in all His Glory. The Old Testament Scrpitures read: "No man can see the face of God and live." God Almighty could not come to this earth and dwell with us, without every living thing perishing. He came to us in a form that we could more easily understand and have fellowship with. He came to show us how to live a life that is pleasing to Him. God set every star in its place, He knows them all by name, He created the heavens and the earth. Nothing is impossible to Him. Human intellect and human understanding is limited, God Almighty is limitless.
If you approach a king in the hopes of him granting your request, if upon entering his throne room, you pass by his son, and show no respect to his son, how do you think the king will respond to your request? He will have you bound and tortured and thrown into the darkest prison. We can only know God Almighty through His Son, He and the Son are One. God Bless You....Peace.

I always thank them both every time, and i try to use His real names; Yahweh for the Father and Yeshua or Yahushua for Jesus (Jesus was actually the result of translating His name into different languages and then English, and they didnt even have a letter "J" back then)

People ofter pray to Jesus instead of God, and I wonder why they don't see that they are making the same mistake that the followers of Moses did, by placing their faith in the messenger instead of the God?

I am sure most will answer that they are one and the same....That does mean that Jesus loved to talk to himself alot though....
