i want to put it on my right shoulder and for me the butterfly symbolises change.. i have learned so much and changed a lot through out my life. so a butterfly for me really does symbolize something especial. most importantly when i visited my granmothers grave site for the first time after she passed away a butterfly landed on her gravestone when i questioned why she had left me alone.. the butterfly represents her!!

Ok, here is the deal - quit worrying about what other people think of your tattoo wish.
The tattoo is personal for you and that should be all that matters, by asking a bunch of strangers what they think, you are telling me that you arent sure its what you want. If this is the case, wait.
You need to know deep in your heart that the artwork is what you really want. Take the picture to a shop and ask the artist to help you personalize it, then see what you think.

I would wait. Especially if its something like a butterfly. You might be in love with the things, but just give something that is going to be on your body forever some more thought. Or if you feel strongly about getting the tattoo scratch out what anyone says and make your own decision.

Im going to be honest, the butterfly nice and feminine and all but I really believe that when a person goes out to get a tattoo it sould be custom made and not just something in the catalog or on a wall of the tattoo parlor. Have a artist customize one for you and you alone so that you dont get something that every other girl has.

It's cute but kinda cartoon-ish to me. Just my opinion. Brings to mind a tattoo for a young person. Nothing wrong with that just...Will you still feel the same way about it 20 years from now? If you love it no matter what and it has special meaning to you (butterfly-metamorphosis) then go for it! Just remember....Tattoo's are addictive...One is Never enough. Good luck and make sure you keep it clean and sanitized while it heals.

Is this permanent, if so given 15yrs the light colours will have faded and you will more than likely wish you'd not bothered.

Think carefully if you want to go through with this, believe me they're a double edged sword nice now, but can cause problems for you later in life, but then maybe some prejudice's will have disappeared by the time your middle aged.

I am not a fan of tattoos but I understand that you really want a representation of your grandmother on your arm but it is really worth 30 years of excessive fading, discoloration and stretching.....???

Why not get a necklace or a piece of jewelry to remember her by? At least with jewelry, you can take it off and put it on whenever you want.

Personally I'm not into tattoos, this one is petite and very feminine much better than a lot I have seen though.

To be honest, I don't really like it as much as some others, but it's still cute. Where are you going to put it? It would look nice on your left shoulderblade.
