Because not everybody believes in GOD. MAN is crazy and GOD decided not to destroy man just to see what happens next. Sorta like a bad train wreck or Paris Hilton. We all hate the sight of both but have a hard time looking the other way. At least that is my opinion

There is no answer to such questions. I could answer your question with this question: If everyone was happy, would we think of God at all? Everything about God is paradox, and the fact that paradox exists at all proves to me that God must exist. But that's another point.

Your question can be put more simply as this one: Can God create a stone that even He could not move?

Yes, no, maybe, there's no answer to every question. That's what the idea of Mystery comes from.

Everything happens for a reason. There is a way for things to go and it is chosen beforehand in some cases. We still make choices. A good example: I had a job, met a great person and then for no reason after one day I was let go. Made no sense. I did nothing wrong. I went in and asked the manager I worked with and she said nothing. She couldn't even understand it. The one who fired me didn't even come in to see me work. I thought it was weird or perhaps she was an idiot. Anyway, I go and get the money and go out for sushi. The next day I went and applied at a much better job and they were very interested. Definitely more what I'm looking for and I sense it is time to get out of restaurants but am keeping one job for now. This one will lead to full-time and has more money-making potential. Plus the office was so upscale, with leather couches and black. Very modern and minimalist. Felt right at home there. I suspect this happened for a reason and everything works out in the end. God is on your side.

Do you equate this life on Earth to that in Heaven? Do you deny how plants grow from seeds,do you not become implanted in order to become pregnant? Do you not recognize that it is the open sinning of people, whether those sins include major sins such as the unjust taking of life being attributed to people? When the prophets and messengers of God were sent to call the people to remember God and fear Him as He should be feared, what was the "horrible" things that happened to those that rejected faith?Revelation is complete, the truth is available for those who's hope is in the meeting of their Lord. And the "horror" is awaiting for those who die rejecting faith!

That's a great question that has been asked time and time again...even by people who profess to be Christians. I'll tell you what I believe, but you don't have to take it as gospel.

God gives us free will to live our lives for Him or to not live our lives for him. When we stray from the way God has for us....frankly, we generally mess things up (this is true even for bible believing christians...we screw up all the darn time and don't let anybody tell you otherwise).

The horrible things that happen in this world happen because God allows us all to do what we want. He has left us to our own devices....perhaps in the hope that when we see how bad things can really get without him, we can then see our need for him. But instead, we want to blame God for our pain that stems from giving people free will.

This is especially difficult to accept (even for me) when I see things such as the suffering and death of innocent children. But this is never the way God intended it to be.

The moment sin entered the world...everything changed...and suffering and death became a part of life.

God is real, if you think he's real. Bad things happen, just because without bad things you wouldn't know what a good thing is. The ying yang. Knowbody really knows if God is real or not. None of any religion can really be proved. Somewhere along the way religion became a business, a way to control the masses and a way for a few individuals to get there way at the expense of believers. I believe in a God. I think somehow all this came to be. The bad things that have happened in my life have been due to me not having my eyes open. When I was younger I listened to others, when I decided to think for myself, my life got better and better. Don't give the people around you to much credit, they don't know what's best for you.

If everything were Utopic, what would there be for man to strive for? Look to history to see really horrific things. WHY would an omniscient being create an end? Mankind is always on the move changing increasing in knowledge. We do not thrive without obstacles to overcome. Do you not feel joy at accomplishment? It is part of what is called the human condition, and it very closely associated with one of the greatest gifts God Gave us... Free Will.
We were not created to simply worship God, if that were the case this question wouldn't exist. In His infinite wisdom God gave us free will so that we may choose to worship Him, just as we may choose not to believe in Him

God allows horrible things to happen because he gave us free will. Let me explain. Our own choices allow horrible things to happen. Another reason is that if God always made us happy we wouldn't appreciate the feeling as much. We also are having God test our faith during these occurrences.

Hope I helped.

We ourselves do not establish the standards of what is right. Only the Creator of all reality can do that. We need to settle it, in our minds and hearts, whether we understand it or not, that whatever God does is, by definition, right.
Having settled this by faith, we are then free to seek for ways in which we can profit spiritually from the sufferings in life as well as the blessings. As we consider such matters, it is helpful to keep the following great truths continually in our minds.God is loving and merciful even when, "for the present," He allows trials and sufferings to come in our lives.

“For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

if God will stop every sin from happening, then what is the point of the day of judgement. this life is like a farm, you keep working on the far and then find what you gain at the end of the year, it can be good news or bad news depend of how hard work have you put into it.
