Since the bride and groom do not organize a bridal shower, and is organized by others, there is no problem with having it.

I think if you want to have an informal party for your wedding then you can have it within six months of your wedding.

If you're planning on having an informal wedding party for guests who could not attend the destination wedding then I think it's fine to have a bridal shower. However, you should have the party soon enough after the wedding so that your guests dont start questioning the bridal shower. I would say a month after the destination wedding. Just to give you enough time to get back to reality from the wedding and honeymoon. Otherwise within the following couple of weeks.

It is fine for someone to give the bride a bridal shower with a destination wedding.

I would have an informal party as soon as feasible after the destination wedding. It is nice to show all the photos at the party too. Anytime within a month afterward should be just fine.

It is perfectly acceptable to have a bridal shower with a destination wedding! I would recommend having the party/reception within 2 months of the wedding, but the sooner the better.

No, but you don't plan your own shower. HOWEVER, the only guests who would be invited to the bridal shower would be the ones invited to the wedding, so you MUST keep that in mind.
And, you won't be having 'another' ceremony later, but I suppose you could have a party.

No, the bride is still getting married. Why would it be bad etiquette. The bride and groom can still invite all the guests at the shower; however, if they decline the wedding invite it's their choice.

I would have a reception w/ in 2 weeks of returning.

I had a destination wedding and my friends through me a bridal shower. My husband works offshore, so our reception was almost a month after our wedding.

The bridal shower is for the BRIDE, you choice. It is not bad etiquette at all.

Do the informal party soon, like no more than a month after the wedding.
Otherwise it will be out of place and old hat. Keep it fresh and fast while it is still in everyones minds.

Yes, of course, have a shower!!! No reason not to at all! About 4-6 weeks after the wedding, have a party to meet the new bride and groom.

Never comprise the registry know-how in something you're mailing your self. So, it must no longer pass in any marriage ceremony declaration/invitation/ reception card that you simply might ship. I for my part don't consider it might be proper to have a bath while the visitors might no longer be invited to a marriage ceremony. Then once more, I'm very so much no longer in contract with the entire vacation spot marriage ceremony/at dwelling reception. So I wager my opinion within the topic does not particularly have a leg to face on for your obstacle. But, in case you do come to a decision to have a bath (or allow someone host a bath for you, extra safely) THIS is wherein the registry know-how might pass.
