I had a Presbyterian( Scotch-Irish) FORBEARER or ancestor. He was a person from Northern Ireland and I am descended from him.
Presbyterian s are members of a Protestant Church that is organized not with bishops like Catholic,Orthodox,Anglican or Methodist Episcopal or with independent local parish churches like Baptists or Congregationalists but by presbyteries or pastor-led synods with a lot of lay elder participation.Presbyterianism, which is Reformed Protestant,is the state church in Scotland.
