It depends how the relationship ended. If he broke up with you, he will be more likely to help if you need it, but if you left him, don't expect his pity. Of course he still cares about you, he just doesn't want to be with you. Why are you asking if you get hurt?

If he consider you as a friend,most probably yes,if the feeling is gone and he doesnt like you to be part of his life anymore,I think no,he wouldnt be concern with you anyway,If he still ask you if your doing ok,then his still your friend
