he may have said "my father" referring to god but most christians call god "father" and that does not make them Messiah or THE divine son of god...so did jesus know who he really was? (and now it is time to quote)...
Is there anywhere in the bible where jesus says: "i am the divine son of god"???

any christian could say i am about the business of my father (referiing to god) and that does not make them "divine", part of god or whatever you may call it.

robert, all christians say they are sons of god so there is no proof there that by saying so he was acknowledging his "divinity".
If you are a christian and i ask you, are you son of god...you probably will answer:yes!

Yes , of course he was aware ...When Joseph and Mary came looking for him and found him in the Temple Jesus said:

Luke 2:49 "And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?"

He called God his father . No where do those exact words appear but in John 10:30 Jesus said...

" I and my Father are one."

He is definately calling himself divine here. No doubt about it Jesus knew who he was , and claimed it many times .

God bless cap'n Arlo

Jesus’ own testimony
When some Jews were plotting to kill Jesus, He testified: “This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill [Jesus], because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life’” (John 5:18-24).
At Jesus’ trial, He testified: “. . . Again the high priest asked him, ‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?’ And Jesus said, ‘I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven’" (Mark 14:61-62).

Yes when Jesus was a child and left at the Temple. His parents went back for him. Like any other parent would be they where afraid and wondered why Jesus had gotten lost from them. Jesus replied to his parent. did you not know that I would be about my Fathers business.
John1:19 Now in the book of John1 verse 19 The priests and Levitt's from Jerusalem came to John the Baptist to ask him are you the Christ. John the Baptist in John 1:20 confessed that he was not the Christ. John went on to say in John 1:23 I am he. The voice of the one crying out in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord.
The Lamb Of God.Look in John 4:23,26. A women came to Jesus in John John4:25 and said to Jesus "I know that the missah is coming"{ who is the Christ} When he comes , he wlil tell us all things. Jesus then said to her in John 4:26 Jesus went on to say to her " I who speak to you am He" so here you have it. Jesus admitted that he was the Christ in John 4:26. I hope that you have a blessed day and God Bless You also!

In the book of revelations, a much clearer image of Jesus in his divine role is given. He clearly seems self aware when he is dictating the account to John from his throne of heaven. Many references are also made that he is the Son position to God.

The Gospel is slightly more vague, but it is clear enough that it is implied he is the messiah which is foretold as the son of god. Also, John 3:16 saying 'only begotten son', and I think you would be hardset to say he wasn't referring to himself.

Not only did he know that he was the SON OF GOD...He was fully aware that He Was/Is God. There are several Bible references which confirm this:

John : I and the Father are One

You cannot come to God but by me.

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Jesus is the word that is from the beginning..

There are many more...Jesus never claimed to be just another son of God...He set himself to be equal to God...that is why He was considered a blasphemer and eventually crucified. The Jews knew full well what he was saying and they hated Him for it.

Jesus at a very young age of only 12 admitted who He was.
Read Luke 2:40-49

Jesus says so in front of the disciples, priests, & Roman soldiers who have come to arrest Him.
Matthew 26:52-53

He knew that he is a Messenger of God and knew that God does not have partners or offspring and that it is inappropriate to refer to Him as "father". He is the Creator; not a father.

Only a person who doesn't know about his Creator properly would call Him father - not a Prophet!!.

Most Christians do not say "I and the Father are One". Or, "to have seen me is to have seen the Father". Or, "before Abraham came to be, I AM". Most Christians do not raise the dead or command the sea, or cure incurable illnesses by an act of their will. Most Christians do not absolve other Christians of their sin, or accept acts of worship from others. Most Christians do not predict their own rising from the dead, and then do it.

I will have to look that up as my memory isn't good but I know that God acknowledged Jesus as His son when He was baptized by saying " This is my son in whom I am well pleased." And Jesus heard this.
