Believe it or not, they're printed on using a kind of offset printing and use food-grade dye instead of ink.

The 'M' is printed on at the factory that makes them. Do you want to know how to personalize them? You can do that at this site.

I think it comes with it. But it says "M&M" or "MM". If it doesn't have the "M&M" thing on it maybe it's not M&Mcandy, maybe smarties or something else!
