If they repented than of course they too will be saved. Don't you know about the thief on the cross next to Jesus? Man you should read more.
BTW....God will not compromise His will to accomodate those who ask for forgiveness. Everything has a purpose and all should glorify the Lord.

God did not want his son to die but his death gave God the way to see us. It was the only way for humankind to be forgive or otherwise they would have been destroyed.
If you look in the old testament to the story of Lot. Abraham ask if there were 10 would he save the city were Lot lived. He said he would do it for 10 but there were none and God send fire and destroy that city and other city beside it. So when Jesus Came there were no one here worth saving so Jesus took this path to open the door for us so that we can be saved. But those people who kill him were not save because of this act. Jesus ask God to block them from this sin of murder him but They had to come to Jesus and ask forgiveness like everyone else does. They could not change their mind because once it got started it grew like a snow ball which starts out small and grows as long as it moves down the hill by itself. No God's plan would never be destroyed because God knew the hearts of men and of Satan. God knew that Satan would do anything to be able to kill God's son who play right in to his hands. You see it was not just the plan and the agreement between God and Jesus that his son should died but the heart and will of Satan.

The Roman soldiers making up the crucifixion detail and the centurion over them were terrified with what happened immediately after Jesus died. The Bible says this:
Matthew 27:50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51 And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
52 The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
53 and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.
54 Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
They caught on quick as to who Jesus was. If they repented they were forgiven. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in heaven. Jesus died for the sins of the world including theirs.

They were if they chose to be; to repent and recognize Jesus for Who He is. Remember, there was a guard who stood near the cross and watched Jesus die and witnessed all the crazy stuff that happened afterward and concluded "Surely this was the Son of God."
No sin eliminates the possibility of redemption. Or, to say it another way, ALL sin requires redemption. If Judas had repented instead of hanging himself, it would've all turned out differently for him. Peter denied Christ three times, but look how that turned out! It all comes down to the question of whether or not a person recognizes their guilt and need for redemption. If they call on the name of the Lord, they will be saved.
On the issue of free will: God did not create Judas for the purpose of destroying him. In other words, God did not create Judas to be evil. Judas had a choice. God knew that choice in advance and planned accordingly. Nobody is destined by God for hell. Those who reject God are destined by their own choice for hell.

Jesus asked His Father in Heaven from the Cross to "Forgive them for they know not what they do." (referring to all those who persecuted Him and ultimately murdered Him). However, one of the two thieves on either side of Jesus was told that that very day he would be in paradise with Jesus because he asked forgiveness and showed faith in Jesus being the son of God. The thief on the other side was not told that because he not only did not ask forgiveness, but rather taunted Jesus.
This indicates that Jesus would save anyone who believed in Him and also repented of their sins against Him. Those who persecuted and murdered Jesus were doing the Will of God so that prophesy could be fulfilled. However Jesus of course wanted to forgive them, having given all humans a free will to accept Jesus as Savior, or not, and to do His commands, or not, So it would be up to each one of those people to believe and ask forgiveness in order to obtain the salvation that Jesus Sacrificed Himself to provide.
Many of Jesus' persecutors continued to reject Him and continued justifying their actions, but also we know there were many who were converted and repented and believed. Scripture tells us of at least two of the Sanhedrin who were converted. It also speaks of a Roman Soldier at the Crucifixion who said "This truly was the Son of God.". As a matter of fact it was the Roman Soldiers who witnessed the Crucifixion and saw first hand all that transpired that spread the word throughout the empire, and many of them were converted and also their families.
Your statement about that if they had changed their minds and freed Jesus, then God's plans would have been destroyed is true; but God knew who would change and who would maintain their hardened hearts. So just because some of them participated in killing Jesus, and in so doing helped God carry out His Divine Plans, it does not mean He would save them as a reward for their part. In order to gain Salvation, everyone must repent and believe in the Saving Power of God.

No. If you manage to accomplish the will of God without following Him deliberately or just by accident, you are not saved. You can only be saved if you follow him and have a personal relationship with Him. No man truly knows the will of God except on an individual level. You must have that personal relationship with Him and let him lead you.

Well that depends. His sacrifice made salvation possible for all. It did not guarantee a specific end for anyone without their acceptance. The centurion who speared Jesus on the cross became a Christian and is an early church saint. The same for Pilate's wife who left Pilate the day of the Crucifixion. Pilate himself did not fare so well, neither did Caiaphas. There was not blanket salvation nor blanket condemnation. God keeps His own counsel.

well, i think that first it needs to recognized that EVERYONE put Jesus on the cross, not just the ones that were in front of him at that time. we all put Jesus on the cross. He died on the cross jin hopes that we would follow him, and to follow him you have to be saved, and to be saved then you have to be a discple. so whether or not they were saved is the wrong question. it should more so be if they repented after the cross, and got baptized and lived a life according to God's word.

No one actually killed Him, a god can not be killed.
Jesus actively chose to die on the cross to fulfill the father's will. He could have hung there for eternity, came down off the cross, or transfigured if he wanted since He is omnipotent.

Kinda, but not in the way your thinking. Jesus would have ended up sacrifiing himself anyway. As for the romans being saved, if they accepted him, then yes they are saved, but not because they accomplished gods will.
