My boyfriend and I have been together for about a year now. We both support each other in everything that we do. We are juniors in high school. We both want the same things in our future. Career wise, we both want to pursue a career in the medical field. We are not in the kind of relationship that we break up every time we get upset with each other. Through out the whole year we have been together we have not broken up once. We talk things out when we get aggravated with each other. My boyfriend says he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. He talks about our future together. I want to know other peoples opinions on what they think about our relationship, and if it is possible for a high school relationship to last.
Thank You.

It sounds like you have a healthy relationship which is very rare to find. I think a future for you two could turn out well though I feel you are much too young to know that for sure. Don't rush be patient. God willing you have time to experience things you both should while you are young. Worry about college and doing things for yourself first, if you are meant to be with him you will be together. Don't rush you have so much time for all the complicated stuff, live your life and do what you have to for YOU!

As long as the communication and trust stay good, you have a very good chance. I know more than one couple who have made it all the way through high school and are almost finished with college. After they graduate next year, they'll be moving into their first apartments together, which I imagine is pretty nice. Eye on the prize.

it's very possible. i've known a few couples who dated in school and are still married(grad 1978)just don't rush things. right now, you want the same things but allow yourselves to experience a bit of life before you settle down. you still have college don't forget and all the fun after college. i don't mean break up, experience these things together. this way when you do settle down, you'll have had some fun first.

You sound like you have a great relationship with each other. If you both go to the same college your relationship could definitely last.

I think that if you think that high school relationships last that they do...I have seen quite a few couples who have been together since they were in high school...My pastor and his wife have been together since he was a junior and she was a freshman and they are around 30 and have had their first baby and are so in love and I am so inspired by them...So I believe that it will work out if you want it to...GOOD LUCK!

anything's possible...
but do u really want to spend ur life with him? like are you sure?
i know a few ppl who stayed together thru high school and are still together like twenty years later. so it's possible.
to tell u the truth...you sound like ur writing a list about u and ur bf... the pros and cons. idk how to explain it...but u dnt put much feel into it and im not sure that ur entirely convinced u want to spend ur life with him. just think it thru...this is a big step. i think it's great that u guys talk stuff out wen ur angry at each other...u seem like a great cuple. but u just dnt sound so convinced....

i'm 17 and not into long relationships.
i don't think i'd want my hs relationships to last. If you really truly love him, you're not just dating him to be dating someone like I do, then it could work. Personally I just am not ready to have a relationship like that.

It's possible. It takes a lot of hard work and it's not likely. But it is possible.
