What Does the Bible say about Witnessing?

Webster’s definition of witnessing is to bear witness to one's religious convictions

The bible says, “He who wins souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30)

Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20)

Jesus came to seek and to save what was lost. (Luke 19:10)
As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. (John 20:21)
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. (1 John 2:3-6) Jesus gave his life for our sins. His mission was to seek the lost. We are not suppose to be ashamed of Jesus. We are suppose to following in his ways. If God’s love were in us we would live according to the way Jesus walked in the bible. If we know how to be forgiven of our sins and go to heaven, then why would we not share this with anyone? If you do not share this good news with people then you are not sharing God’s love. This is a very selfish thing to do.

The word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.' "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself. (Ezekiel 33:1-9) Once we are born again we are called to be watchmen. Are you going to just sit on the wall and not join the battle of good and evil? Or are you going to stand up and blow the trumpet? When we hear the good news and keep it to ourselves, then we are not being a good servant to others. If you let people in your life die in their sins and not share the gospel of Jesus Christ, then their blood will be on your hands. Do you think we are living in the end times? If you do, are you telling others or are you just sitting on the wall. Friend be bold and stand up for Jesus! If you haven’t noticed we are now in a spiritual fight and we need to be a witness for Jesus. Everyone is suppose to be a witness for Jesus. When was the last time you told someone what Jesus did for them and how he changed your life? If it was not today then what are you waiting for? Go tell someone. If you are asking who, then just be quiet and listen to what God tells you. God will put someone on your heart.

God tells us we are to live the truths He tells us, to be in obedience to Him. That we are to live it and speak it , without fear or compromise. The world needs Jesus and we are to tell it to the world Some will reject truth and some will accept it, But it is only our job to live it, to show it can be done, to live it becuase we love GOd with everything we are. and to speak truth because we want others to have what we have in JEsus Christ and we do it because God tells us to do it. We arent to concern oursleves if they like us or accept us. We are only to speak it and leave the convicting to the Holy Spirit, and then we pray and pray and pray without ceasing. But if we dont live truth, we cant speak it. If we dont show the power of the Holy Spirit to show us how to overcome sin in our life, what do we have to offer to anyone else??? Great thought question, as usual.

Jehovah's Witnesses both witness personally and bear witness to others regarding God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.

(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah

(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.

(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus

(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”

(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

We, as Christians, have to be careful we are not bludgeoning someone with the truth while trying to save them from the sword. That only makes them cower rather than accept and believe. We need to be sure we are witnessing in the power of the Holy Spirit rather than in the "power" of the flesh.

Nice job with the research. witnessing means to stand up for God, and to preach about him even in the darkest of times. Check out "Testify To Love" by Avalon.

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews suppose that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The factor of view of the anti Messianice Jews is quality summed up by means of Mark JPAS while he mentioned "it's applicable to mixture a few measure of international religious factors with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, that is appeared to be incompatible with any kind of Jewishness. This is the double typical that's implemented to Christianity despite the fact that Jesus is viewed the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are checked out with even bigger disdain. Why? its a canopy for there possess deviations from Judaism. Some Jews have to preserve a connection to Jewish loved ones since they have got deviated such a lot from conventional Judaism that many Orthodox query their Jewishness. They want discover a few option to distract concentration since of there deviation from the Torah. This is finished by means of pointing their finger at others to direct concentration clear of their possess movements. You cannot deliver your self a identify and count on that it makes you anything. This is the argument that has been used towards Jews that make a decision that Jesus is the Messiah. We are instructed that the mere perception of a further nature of God instantly invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the equal time Jews that emerge as atheists, pantheists or give up training any detail in their faith we're instructed are nonetheless Jews. They say that you'll suppose in whatever however Jesus. Jews name conversion "becoming a member of the tribe". Things that could in no way fly in Orthodox or for that subject Messianic Judaism may also be determined within the Reform and Reconstructionist pursuits. A well instance of this can be a prior query requested right here. The character asking worshiped the God Ferris however didn't suppose in him or the Jewish God. The awareness of the query used to be" ...could you PERSONALLY believe relaxed welcoming me now not simply as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, however as a member of the Tribe?" (so he used to be evidently asking approximately changing to Judaism). The reaction used to be "Reform Judaism covers a huge swath of ideals and practices and I am certain you're going to be entirely permitted. ... I for my part could be given you entire heartily as a fellow Jew." So a few Jews will be given a wide variety of deviations from the Torah however now not perception in "Jesus". Let's now not omit the Reform motion desired to difference the sabbath to Sunday to be extra like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant but you'll emerge as an atheist, give up training their religion, emerge as a Buddhist, become a member of a Unitarian Church and nonetheless be a Jew within the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox while requested approximately different Jews will say they do not know what non Orthodox Jews are. The equal applies to the opposite sects. Rabbinical Jews comply with an knowledge in their religion that used to be centered one million,900 years in the past. They have their possess canon of Scripture. There also are non Rabbinical Jews such because the Ethiopian Jews that follows the sample of the Christian Old Testament and they have got many extra books that they recall to be scripture. A organization known as the Karaites is the reverse of the Ethiopian and most effective suppose within the five Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews name Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and notice for your self. Don't permit any one inform you that there aren't any sects in Judaism. They say the the lessons of Jesus are very specific from Judaism. They additionally declare that Jesus taught not anything new from the rabbis earlier than him. Then they we inform you that there have been no rabbis till 100 years after the time of Jesus. Its all approximately profitable the argument to them now not approximately what is actual. The drawback isn't variations however similarities. You must recognize ALL the writers of the Christian Bible have been Jews however one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The big majority of early believers in Jesus have been Jews. So whilst you pay attention the targeted reverse you have to hold that during brain. A Jew can suppose in Jesus and nonetheless be a Jew.
