Ok I had this dream about a year ago and I never figured out what it meant...

In my dream it was like I was watching the dream and I wasn't actually there. My mom was standing on the front porch of my oldhouse with this blonde girl, she was probably like 11 years old, and she kissed her goodbye and said, "Don't forget to memorize your poem, Caleb." (which is a weird name for a girl, I asked my mom later if she liked the name Caleb and she said she thought it was ugly) So the the girl walked across the street (to a bus stop) and all of the sudden the bus comes us the street and it's out of control, and the girl Caleb's reading the poem as she walks across the street and doesn't see it. My mom screams and sudden'y everything goes black in my dream and I can hear the girl scream.

The weird thing was the girl looks like my little sister only older, and it was like my mom had a child before me. I'm pretty sure that's not true.

A lot of the symbols in dreams can only be interpreted by the dreamer because different people place different meanings on those symbols.

Also, it is said that all the people or characters in dreams usually represent the dreamer in some manner.

So, your mom in your dream may have actually been you. Same with the girl, Caleb.

The bus coming up the street and being out of control may represent some thing in your life you feel you don't have any control over. And the mother in your dream is actually just showing you that thing you don't have control over.

The little girl, Caleb, can also be showing you that you aren't paying attention to that thing in your life that is out of your control (represented by the bus) and that if you don't pay attention or gain control over the thing or situation, something bad could happen. Doesn't necessarily mean something catastrophic...just means you need to be more aware of whatever the situation or thing is that you may not be paying attention to.

What happened earlier in the day?week? month? Sometimes dreams combine situations or points of stress in your life. Even if you had no idea what was going on, you can still dream about the people or places that really stick in your head or have caused you a problem. Just be happy that you don't have the dream where you keep falling. I have that dream at least one a month and I am afraid of heights. I have heard that if you hit the ground in your dream, you die in your sleep. Scary considering there is nothing you can do to control your dreams beside meditation. Even that is not foolproof. Anyway- back on subject. Good Luck!

your mother had certain romantic and old-fashioned ideals which she tried to pass on to you. You have rejected them or found them wanting. thus they have died or been killed off by far greater forces(bus) in the real world (job, disappointment, life, boss, friends) which have made you a tougher person. Caleb had to die

Sounds to me like you have some anxiety which revolves around a loved one in your life. Talk to everyone in your family and make sure that they are all ok and dont need your help in any way. Maybe you sense in a subconscious way that someone in your family needs you or needs your help or advice.
