Hi there.What point system are you referring to ?

since this question is in home theater I am going to guess it is the 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1 system. 5.1 means that there are 5 speakers front left, center, front right, and the surround speaker ( left rear and right rear ). The .1 stands for the subwoofer that provides the bass. 6.1 systems have an addition rear center speaker, and 7.1systems have a front left, center, front right, middle left, middle right, and the two rear speakers.
