And since I'm an atheist, I'm already a murderer?

How do you figure that?

Aloha Maryanne,

You've astutely identified why theists find it so easy to villify non-theists.

Who is more moral, the believer motivated by the threat of hell, or the atheist motivated by love for his fellow man?

"There seems to be a terrible misunderstanding on the part of a great many people to the effect that when you cease to believe you may cease to behave."
— Louis Kronenberger

The foundation of morality should not be made dependent on myth nor tied to any authority lest doubt about the myth or about the legitimacy of the authority imperil the foundation of sound judgment and action.
— Albert Einstein

One of the greatest tragedies in human history was the hijacking of morality by religion.
— Sir Arthur C. Clarke

Hi from sean/jim darwin,

the christian bible, specifically paul in romans 1:28-31 says the atheist is a murderor and a liar, etc.

you know the quote the fool says in his heart theres no god thats old testement

this is one of two things,

one its a cult, your either one of us or your bad,

but two, theologically, it means that before a person is saved they are all sinners, all who ever hated are just the same as a murderor thats what jesus taught,

now me, i reject the idea of god im an atheist,

but i do understand the theological teaching,

a lot of religious theists understand that atheists aren't all murderors,

but the truth is we all have hated at one time or another and heh for me, thats not the end of the world, i try and forgive my enemies cause hateing people sucks

A murderer is someone who has committed murder, even some religious people were murderers but through repentance they have been given forgiveness.

These are generally people raised Christian. They've never been anything else, and they honestly think the only reason they aren't murderers is because of that Christianity....

They've never been a non-Christian, and they decide what non-Christianity is by listening to their ministers.....

....who've also never been non-Christians.

At least the lies have changed. In the 1990s, there were Christian lecture circuit people who used to claim to have sacrificed their babies and stuff before they found god....

When some Christians started CALLING THE COPS on those people, those lies stopped.

I'm a Christian and I am unsure where you're getting your ideas from?
KNOWN is that many atrocities and MURDERS have been committed in the name of God for centuries, under the guise of RELIGION.
People who claim to be a new Creature in Christ shouldn't murder, as it defies God and his commands.
If you're a murderer it's in you to murder... through some sort of psychiatric or psychological malfunction....period.
You equate being an atheist with being a murderer? LOL.... that's on YOU then.
You didn't know this?
What's your take on murdering underdeveloped babies??

***LOL @ the lame cowardly thumbs down.. you said it... not me! Perhaps you should think before you type. You don't phase me.

Disturbing isn't it? The only thing holding many Christians back from being a mass murderer is the words in a 2000 year old book, written by sheepherders who thought the earth was flat.

some are undesirable and a few at the instant are not. relies upon on the rustic, relies upon on city and relies upon on the guy. that's forbidden in islam to kill anybody who isn't attacking you. some Imam's regrettably forget approximately that, or greater suitable, they remember approximately, yet they use the words of the Qu'ran and twist them to manage some community pursuits. i've got self belief for Nazim. Too undesirable that that's the sole kind of information on Islam that attain the media. the solid information of ANY form rarely ever attain the media.

i don't have any religious beliefs either but whoever told you this is an idiot...and you definitely cannot argue with an idiot. even religious people wouldn't say something as stupid as this. they may say you're going to hell but that's about it.
