if you are exercising regulary then your body can utilize the nutrients in such supplements more effeciently so age is not much of a factor. supplemental protein powders have been medically proven to be safe and effective for both men and women, the young and old.

Unless you have been diagnosed with osteoporosis or another type of disease that results in calcium deficiency, you shouldn't need to take supplements as a woman until the age of 17. Having said that, you should be getting @ least 3-4 servings of low- fat dairy each day

You shouldn't start bodybuilding until you are at least 16. The supplements you could use at any age.
