repetitions in exercise will make you muscular

diets can only help reduce fat, to show those muscles better.
The best diet is a BALANCED diet,
proteins help supply the necessary material to build muscle
and carbohydrates give you the energy to use your muscles more, and vitamins, minerals and bioflavinoids and enzymes etc...from fruits and vegetables and other things all work together for healthy muscles. Stop eating greasy junk or high sugar - empty nutrient "foods"

30% protein, 40% carbs, 30% fats. High calorie. You will need a huge amount of carbs right after your workout. There are supplements out there perfect for your after workout "recovery period" like Surge from www.t-nation.com. Most serious lifters will use a recovery drink like that.

Other than that you need a very clean, healthy diet made of the freshest ingredients.

Make sure to work out all muscle groups and focus on compound lifts like presses, squats, deadlifts, pullups/chinups, rows.

The biggest part of your diet should be lean protein, such as turkey, chicken and lean beef. Eat your green vegis and limit your bread, but do have some. Lift weights by using a heavy weight, low repititions. Do cardio but not too much because cardio breaks down muscle.

It is essential that you eat enough protein if you are trying to build muscle--generally 1 gram per pound of body weight is the guideline to shoot for. It should be high quality, lean protein, such as chicken breast, tuna, egg whites, and whey protein shakes. You still need to eat carbohydrates such as brown rice and oatmeal, and also healthy fat in addition to the protein.
