It depends whether you think sex is appropriate. If you've only been on a few dates, aren't comfortable with the risks, don't know what the risks are, or simply feel pressured or uncomfortable, tell him you like him but aren't ready for a relationship like that.
If you want sex, but don't know what to do, tell him you're not ready. Then read up and grow up some so you'll be ready.
