Pretty bleak, dude.
You don't have to eat meat to survive anymore. You don't have to kill much of anything to get food, shelter, clothing, etc. Living without any kind of conflict might be asking a bit much, but I suppose you could reduce it to the point that you felt peaceful.
Your morals seem to be based in an earlier, much more violent time, when kill or be killed was the rule for everybody. Sure, that's how we got here...but is it really necessary to continue? As we progress, as society and inventions progress, could peace not also progress?
Survival doesn't mean killing everything else. It might...but I don't think it's always necessary.
Soooo...I'd like to think so. If not now, then maybe at some point. I think we're all more violent than we absolutely have to be.
Of course, Jesus and MLK got killed over the whole peace love and happiness bit...sooo...maybe a LITTLE violence might help you survive.

Yes there is. Being at peace is not always easy but it dose happen. An example is old couples that have been together for years. They have learned to not let things bother them that they haven't liked about the other person. That example is usually the prodominant one. There can be peace but most don't want it. Accepting and acctually following a religion, or wipeing all sentient beings off of the planet.

I think there is no peace that can exist outside of us without peace being within us. I have a neighbor with all kinds of signs up about ending the war and being peaceful and then others of how hateful certain politicians are. How can she expect peace in large terms if there is no peace in the small internal terms?

Peace is very illusive.........
I see two forms of peace.......
Internal and external...........
In order to understand the term peace, one has to be fortunate enough to be around a person who's Soul is at peace. Other than this, finding peace is like chasing ones own shadow.
I have been fortunate enough to be around both a male and female who's Souls were in a state of peace.
One must be around such a person to understand through example what is meant by peace.
The female in question was a tiny beautiful lady, by the name of Mother Theresa. She radiated peace and you could feel it.
She didn't talk of it she practiced it!
When someone was hungry, she went without food.
When someone was thirsty, she went without water.
The word peace is tossed around like the word love, in these
chaotic times the world is in!
Peace cannot be, I say cannot be, found on the exterior of man unless the peace has been imbibed and established inside of man.
In response to your question, yes we are all fighters, but the fight must be waged on the inside of man not on the periphery, this is the way all the Prophets throughout time
have suggested for man to find peace.
The male that I was fortunate enough to be around has passed over the same as Mother Theresa, and their stories are unimportant, what was important to me was the chance to see and feel this elusive state within man called inner peace.
It is there for everyone, take a chance and find out for your selves......................................

Left to ourselves, I don't think there is such a thing. In fact, in all of recorded history, there has never been one day that a battle hasn't raged somewhere in the world. People like to think that we're evolving but the sad truth is that psychologically and sociologically, we are the same today as we were thousands of years ago.

If there was no such thing then why would we try to attain it for its characteristics.
Why are there even any Buddhists?
It's really looking beyond material things like homo sapien history and being at rest and detached from all disorder.

it somewhat is unusual that as quickly as an atheist, or a Christian says one among those factor as i'm approximately to assert, then it somewhat is seen accepted, or only an opinion. while a Muslim says that peace can come with the aid of conflict, then we are condemned as those terroristic Muslims who love conflict...there is not any peace until eventually evil-doers understand that peace-loving human beings will combat decrease back. some human beings prefer to scouse borrow, kill, and wreck others because of the fact they discover it a chortle to be certain human beings injury..in the event that they knew they might face people who won't take a seat decrease back like scared mice, then they may well be much less probably to objective to have their relaxing with those human beings. i will guess that guy in Texas scared the crap out of thieves in his city with the aid of capturing those thieves who have been robbing his neighbor...he's a sturdy neighbor.

I think with further evolution, we might one day find peace. what we need to understand is the reasons we keep losing peace, those same demons we drag with us over and over. The biggest reason for war right now is religion, when people believe in superstition, they can be forced into fighting in God's name. I think another reason is the belief they can steal riches from others, and a stronger UN could do much to defeat that thinking. There is hope, but we need to work harder and find the causes of violence and hatred.

Only by educating every individual, and practicing tolerance and respect in every religion, can humanity ever achieve true peace. It is not individual to any specific religion. Humanity must understand itself much more than it currently does to be able to start this process.

Some are fighters who stir up war and others are fighters for peace.
Peace is attainable to a small degree but the peace that surpasses ALL understanding is the peace only Christ can give.
