does it make them stand out better. (presume you have the preferred body fat level)

yes..using resistance will help to increase the size of the abdominal muscles if your diet is suppling the proper nutrients. focus on your form and exhaling forcefully after every rep. just like any other body part the quality of the reps is more important than the quantity. if you can do more than 25 reps then you aren't doing them properly.

im not sure it will make them show better, but it should make them more pronouced and in shape faster
