Moderate "loving" christianity comes from scriptural ignorance & more adherence to secular morality than religious, hence the saying reading holy books is the best way to become an atheist. Read the bible for yourself. It's chock full of vile things from cover to cover and openly condones things like racism, human sacrifice, misogyny, slavery, torture, rape & murder etc. in both testaments.
As much as people may not like to admit it, yes the old testament still counts because the new testament hinges on it as well as the fact that the old testament is the vast majority of the text in the bible. Thus the infanticides, genocides and other nastiness of the old testament that the new doesn't delve into as much is still something any christian still has to own up to.
There's a reason religious fundamentalism is called as such, Because it's a more honest interpretation of the text. Christian fundamentalism just happens to be hateful towards women, gays, minorities and in ages past demanded adherence to a specific kind of christianity on pain of death & then supposed eternal damnation afterward. In my opinion christianity is all about hate.
But hey, reading the actual book is ******* boring and reading about the long history of christian atrocities is too much work so let's pretend the evidence doesn't exist and appeal to emotion on the subject.

Oh, its false, but it is used by certain groups to further their own agenda - example: the homosexual agenda - if they simply call people of faith "haters" and "bigots", then they can take the attention away from the real problem, which is the fact that they wish to promote a lifestyle (deathstyle) that causes aids and one of the most horrible deaths to ever be witnessed. And, they want to promote that to first grade children. Anyone who disagrees with their agenda, hey, just call them a "hate-filled bigot" for not being nice and agreeable.
Its all a great big load of horsemanuer and they know it.
Its cool though, because the aids virus does not know who is religious or not, aids doesn't know who is a hater or not, aids does not know who is "nice" or not; IT JUST KILLS. So, its
obvious that the problem will eventually take care of itself.
Mother Nature will always war against anything that tries to destroy the circle of life. Homosexuality is taking that circle of life and rearranging it into a straight line. A line that ends.
This is, I'm sure, what your question is alluding to.
Call it hate if thats what you want to do, but you won't be saying much of anything from the grave, now will you?

True, considering the pain God allows in the world, and the claim he is ruler over us(no way man), and considering that God is just a waste of time to Christians by making them pray. and stuff. The prayers don't get answered and if they do it isn't God. Its luck. They make up excuses and everything. Funny I have the same luck they do, and I didn't waste anytime getting it. Hate is Christianity. They hate anyone not like them and harass them (which is hateful) into believing their way. They argue and argue with non believers until they think they made some headway. God does nothing cause he is nothing. These Christians sin just like anyone else but its OK for them in their world, and anyone else that sins should be punished for it. That's hate for anyone else not christian not love. There is so much hate in Christianity that someone could write a book about it in 500 volumes. And they keep saying its love. Love from a imaginary God who allows hate. Its just their groups ideas that oppress hate and cheat, anyone who isn't them.

Christ was a cool guy.
Christianity, as a religion, has some serious problems.
I know two people who are Christians and are truly Christ-like. They're wonderful and delightful, truly committed to being good and helping other people.
But most Christians aren't quite so noble. And I know some people who aren't Christian...yet seem way more Christ-like than most Christians.
If people were truly like Christ, then they'd be great. But "Christianity", as it's usually practiced, is a bunch of lies calcified over hundreds and hundreds of years. It's used for social control, to keep people from being happy now so that they might be happy in some afterlife. While they're unhappy in the present life is the perfect time to soak them out of a lot of time and money and make them feel guilty and overwhelmed. Then you can get them to do pretty much whatever you want, because they either do the right thing or do the "wrong" thing and feel like sh!t.
But what if the "wrong" thing isn't really wrong? What if the "wrong" thing is actually the right thing for somebody to do? Think about it: is it right to persecute Jews? Is it right to support slavery and discrimination against other races? Is it right to dominate women?
All those things were advocated at some point by Christianity. Isn't it possible that they're still saying some things are right which are wrong, and some things are wrong which aren't really wrong at all?
So, yeah, as a religion, Christianity, like Lucy, has some 'splainin' to do.
But Christ is a cool guy and if you were like Christ, I'd like you just fine.

FALSE.
Christianity is a religion full of love. Christ and God are, in fact, PURE LOVE!
It is people who CLAIM to be Christians and spew out hate that gives Christianity a bad name.

Christianity is about Love, but certainly there are many who use (abuse) religion to propose hateful ideals.
Think about all the hate that comes out of Islam, but certainly Islam is about Love also.
I remember a quote from Nitzche "The last Christian died on the Cross." It is nearly impossible for a person to be as good as a Christian should be, but we can try to while not trying to impose our own beliefs and weaknesses on others.

It depends what kind of Christianity you practice. There will always be entities out there that claim a different approach towards deity. Speak for yourself and lean towards what makes you feel secure and sound.
