To me, a lie is a lie no matter what it's about and no matter how small it is. There was a guy who liked me, but I didn't like him. He knew this guy that I liked (who is now my boyfriend) and had been talking to him. He told me that my now boyfriend told him he thought me and the guy that liked me would make a good couple. This really upset me because it made me think the guy I liked wasn't interested in me. But this guy had lied to me several times in the past trying to impress me, so I asked my current boyfriend if he said that, and he told me the only thing close he said to that was good luck. Even though the lie may have seemed like a little thing, it was huge to me. But that's just the way I am, if the lying bothers you, and he's just trying to impress you it's just in a way he's lying about who he is. He's not telling you the truth about himself because he wants you to think he's better. If this bothers you, tell him to stop and be himself. Wouldn't you rather have it that way instead of being lied to?
