St. Regis is a classy hotel. The hotel is so intimate you never know what famous person you'll bump into on the elevator or in the hallway.

Either hotel is stuffy to me, not very young minded, so I would say nay to either. What broadway play is best? I don't know your taste so I wouldn't know what to tell you.
There is plenty to do in New York City for the family, insomniacs, the highstrung and pleasure/adventure seeker.
Good luck. It's a small city but has oh so much packed into it!
