I already picked my best buddy who is 6 without thinking if my fiance had someone in mind.....i was just wondering even if it is old fashion...who generally picks the ring bearer?

It is a mutual decision, but unless your fiance has a younger relative that he is close to, he will probably be happy with the decision you made.

Having two ring bearers is also an option. I attended a wedding where the two ring bearers pulled the runner down the aisle before the wedding party processional instead of the ushers. It was really cute addition.

You usually choose together . Best to start a marriage and life toether doing things together. LOL.
You could have two little ones being ring bearers, one for bride and one for groom if he has someone he'd like to have in your wedding party, That would be the ideal solution.
Even with flower girl. If you don't have a little one in your family, it's always nice to include the groom's family.

I think it's usually the case of one of them having a little brother, cousin, or friend. The last wedding I went to had two ring bearers. You could do that.

Usually a mutual decision, but build your case by sharing stories about your best buddy. In these days it frequently is the son of bride or groom who is age appropriate. You must pay for his tux rental though and not expect your bride to.

We had two ring bearers at my wedding. I chose one and my husband chose the other.

i think it is up to whomever wants someone in the wedding party, in the case of your fiance having someone in mind have 2.
