IF you had to choose then that is no boyfriend at all. Boyfriends come and go but family will be there when he walks out on you. Blood is thicker than water and family must stick together. You never know when you will be in a situation and you will need your family more than your boyfriend.

Why do you have to choose one or the other? Why can't you have both?I guess this means your family has some issues with your boyfriend. You are in luck because they both love you( I hope they do) and would want to make you happy. Explain to your family that you love your boyfriend and to give him a chance.Tell them why you love him ---tell them of his good qualities.Ask them to try for about six months ; at the end of that time you will re-evaluate the situation again.Speak to your boyfriend also. Tell him if he truly loves you ,he will do his best to impress your parents without being false.Suggest to him that one of the attributes of love is compromise and to please not put you in the position of choosing between two groups that you love. All you are asking is that he just try his best.I wish the best.

Your family has always been there for you and provided for you.... your boyfriend has been there what? a year? two years? However long, i know its not as long as your family. Besides, if your family has a problem with your boyfriend, its prolly because he doesn't treat you right!

Family should come first, but I would think it would depend on the situation. I would have to say family first though.

It's easy to just say you'd stay with your family. But what if your family was abusive or something like that? I don't know....I'm over- thinkin' the question, sorry.
