im 13 and i can run 4 to 5 miles in <30 min.
i have been running for months, in hope of being able to jump higher.

nope...you need to work on explosive movements like sprinting, plyometrics, squats and of course lots of stretching and jumping.

endurance training focuses on the slow twitch muscle fibers while explosive training will stimulate the fast twitch muscle fibers
