Are you using a computer a lot, eye strain. Be careful about lighting around you too. Seeing a doctor is not a bad idea. I was having headaches everyday until I left my job and got another one. Found out it was eye strain and lighting from florescent lights was causing my headaches. Good luck!

As a person who has frequent headaches in the past (4+ times per week).
The main cause to my problems was caffeine. I had to cut it out all together or I'd get problems. Try to avoid caffeine for about 3 weeks and see if you notice a reduction in headaches. This also includes caffeine thats not listed anywhere and found naturally in other products, such as in chocolate (for example, Fudge Pop Tarts would have caffeine in it even though its not listed on the box.)
You will get even more horrible headaches during the withdrawl process. I usually get one really bad a day or two after caffeine intake, then one or two about a week later, then they usually disappear all together and I'd get one like once a month at the most.
Other possible causes, water intake, drink more, like a .5 liter bottle of water when you feel a headache coming on. That would sometimes delay/cause them to go away.
You could try it. Like I mentioned, I had frequent headaches and thats what I found out but I didn't really figure out what was causing it until my mid 20's. The younger I was, the worse and more frequent my headaches were, when I was like 12 years old I had them so bad I'd throw up and it would be in the back of my head and go to my eye like you described. They never went away until I quit caffeine 15 years later.

We have treated 15 - 20 yrs cases. Daily h/a is not normal.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

If you have kids, yes its normal. If not, try increasing your fluid intake, and not the soda crap. Try water or lemonade or something without all the chemical garbage in it. Also, if your a coffee drinker, it may be the caffine wearing off. I get one around 2pm every day and that is exactly what it is. If none of this really matches you, then you should go see your doctor and see if maybe your blood pressure is acting up.

If it has just started and you have never had it before see the doctor right away. If you have experienced this for years I would say it is probably migraines and you could try Excedrin it works great for me.

my wife had that prob, eventually they would get to be a migraine and she would have to go get a shot at the hospital. She started going to a chiroprator and he said that her neck muscles were so tense and knotted they were constricting blood flow, he pressed on them and got them to loosen up and her headache went away for awhile.

Go to the doctor, it's not normal. It could be something as simple as allergies, stress, or sinus problems causing it. But it's not normal, and there's no reason for you to continue feeling like that.
